Indiana Men’s Soccer Host Butler Tonight

The 2nd ranked Indiana Men’s Soccer host instate rival Butler tonight at 8 pm at Bill Armstrong Stadium. The Hoosiers are 1-0 coming off a win Friday Night in South Bend with 3-2 overtime win over Norte Dame. Bloomington South Grad and Redshirt Junior Ben Yeagley scored the game winner in overtime for his first career goal in Hoosier uniform.  Butler is 0-0-1 and coming of a 0-0 draw against Oakland at Home last Thursday night. These two teams are separated by 58 miles have had some epic battles over the years. Butler won the last meeting September 24th, 2019 with a 2-1 win in Indianapolis where the Bulldogs scored 2 goals in the opening 50 minutes. Indiana leads the all-time series 23-5-4 but the last seven meeting the series is 2-2-3 with Indiana outscoring Butler 11-9.  

Former Indiana Hoosier Scott Efross Makes Major League Baseball Debut  

Former Indiana University Pitcher Scott Efross made his Major League Baseball debut Sunday with the Chicago Cubs one day after he was called up from the Iowa Cubs Triple AAA team. Efross pitched .2 innings and threw 22 pitches. Efross gave up a 2-run homer and had 1 strikeout as the Chicago White Sox beat the Cubs 13-1 on the Southside of Chicago. Efross is the 33rd Hoosier to make the Major Leagues. He has spent his entire six-year career in the Cubs organization after being drafted in the 15th round in 2015. Efross played for the Hoosiers from 2013-15 before forgoing his final year. He was part of the 2013 team that made to the College World Series and becomes the 5th member of that team to make it to the Majors.  

Indiana Volleyball Wins Butler Tournament

Indiana Volleyball won the Butler Tournament in Indianapolis over the weekend. The Hoosiers Beat Illinois Chicago 27-25, 25-17 and 25-12, Bowling Green 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 12-25 and 15-12 and the Hoosiers finished out by beating Butler 25-22, 25-18 and 26-24. Senior Kari Zumach and Junior Kaley Rammelsburg were named to the all-tournament team.  The Hoosiers are 3-0 and will travel to the Western Michigan Tournament Friday and Saturday. The Hoosiers will play Western Michigan at 7 pm Friday before a doubleheader with Purdue Fort Wayne at 11 AM and Southeast Missouri State 4:30 PM on Saturday.

Indiana Field Hockey Takes Two in Michigan

Indiana Field Hockey beat Central Michigan 3-2 and Davidson 4-0 in Mount Pleasant Michigan. The Hoosiers got goals from Kira Curland, Sofia Arrebola Garci and Hailey Couch in the Central Michigan game.  Curland scored along with Sydney Keld, Kayla Kiwak and Maggie Carter scored in the shutout win of Davidson. The Hoosiers are 2-0 under Coach Kayla Bashore and will be back in action this Friday at Miami Ohio with 2 pm start time.
