Man sentenced for 2022 Parking Garage Rape
29 year-old Andre Hardy of Joliet, Illinois has pled guilty without a trial to raping an 18 year-old woman in a Bloomington Parking garage in 2022. Hardy was caught on video surveillance leaving the garage after assaulting the woman on the evening in question. He was sentenced to 10 years minus the two he has already served, in the Indiana Department of Corrections.

Korn Ferry Golf Tournament is in French Lick
French Lick Resort Pete Dye Course is playing host to the Korn Ferry Championships Golf Tournament. The 4-day event opened up yesterday and boasts one point five million dollars in prizes and the chance for the top 30 finishers to play next year in the PGA. The par-72 course was also the venue for the 2015 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.

B-Line Trail to close a downtown section for construction
A portion of the B-Line Trail between First and Second Streets will be temporarily closed beginning today. Trail users will be routed onto Morton Street while contractors reconstruct the First Street/B-Line Trail intersection, and complete improvements to the Hopewell East project. B-Line Trail access to the Seminary Square Kroger from both the south and north will remain open during the detour. The detour is expected to remain in place for several weeks.

MCPL Pumpkin Character Challenge
The Monroe County Public Library is hosting a Pumpkin Character Challenge. Simply decorate a pumpkin as your favorite book character and submit a photo for a chance to win an art supply gift card! Bloomington’s Food Truck Friday will be held on Kirkwood Avenue this week. Known as the Food Truck Village, happening alongside Lotus World Music and Arts Festival, today 11am-11pm. and Saturday 5-11pm.
