Columbus North’s Parker Elmore Commits to Indiana University Football for 2026 IU football landed a commitment from class of 2026 in-state product Parker Elmore, he announced on social media on Sunday. Elmore plays both tight end and outside linebacker at Columbus North High. He tagged Indiana tight ends coach Grant Cain in his commitment post, but it’s not entirely clear at which position the Hoosiers will use him. He’s unranked in 247Sports Composite, and held just two other offers: Illinois State and Kent State. He’s a 3-star and the No. 41 tight end in 247Sports own rankings. He took an official visit to IU over the weekend. The 6-5 and 230-pound Elmore previously played at Jennings County High, before transferring to Columbus North ahead of the 2024 season. After missing most of his sophomore season due to injury and sitting out in 2024 due to the transfer rules, Elmore is a bit of an under the radar prospect. He’s also a high-level basketball player running with Grand Park Premiere this travel season. Indiana’s class of 2026 is up to 16 players now.
Coaches Tab Devin Taylor as a ABCA Second Team All-American Ahead of the start of the Men’s College World Series, the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released its division one All-America teams. The organization honored 70 athletes across three teams that represented the best student-athletes in the 2025 college baseball season. Junior outfielder Devin Taylor was selected as a Second Team All-American following a prolific campaign. The ABCA All-America committee – which includes eight coaches from around country – made its final selections on Thursday (June 12) afternoon in Omaha. Taylor is the first repeat ABCA All-American since Kyle Schwarber (2013-14).
Taylor was the catalyst in a strong offensive lineup for the Hoosiers this season. The veteran hit .374 with 80 hits, 63 runs scored, 18 home runs and 66 RBIs. He homered in the final four games of his collegiate career and leaves Bloomington as the program’s all-time record holder in home runs (54). He led the team with 25 multi-hit games and 22 multi-RBI games and formed a formidable duo with redshirt sophomore outfielder Korbyn Dickerson at the top of the order. Taylor became a reliable defender in left field as well, fielding at a .981 clip. He went errorless in his final 39 appearances of the year.
It is expected that Taylor will be picked inside the top-40 of this summer’s MLB Draft. The career .350 hitter has become a hot commodity for professional teams due to his natural hit skills and the increased power over three seasons as a collegiate player. The Cincinnati, Ohio native is set to become the highest-drafted player that head coach Jeff Mercer has worked with at IU. Consensus All-Americans are generally considered to be those honored by the ABCA, NCBWA, D1 Baseball and Baseball America. Taylor has already checked off the first two boxes and will await the release of teams by the final two outlets. He was also named by Perfect Game as an All-American in 2025.
Taylor’s Postseason Honors (2025)
– First Team All-Big Ten (OF)
– Big Ten All-Tournament Team (OF)
– ABCA/Rawlings Midwest First Team All-Region
– Perfect Game First Team All-American
– NCBWA Second Team All-American
– ABCA Second Team All-American

Nick Solak regained the lead in the bottom half with an RBI single, giving Indy a 3-2 advantage. Eddy Yean opened a bullpen game and tossed 2.0 hitless innings. Kyle Nicolas (W, 2-0), as the fifth of six pitchers for the Indians, surrendered the game-tying run before Hunter Stratton closed the contest. The previous hardest-hit homer was by Malcom Nuñez (111.1 MPH) on April 9 at Louisville. The Indians begin a six-game series at Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers, on Tuesday at 7:05 PM. Neither team has named a starter for the series-opening contest.

Indy Eleven shut out the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Carroll Stadium Jack Blake netted the decisive goal in the first half off a smooth sequence with Aodhan Quinn to give Indy Eleven a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. The game-winning goal came in the second minute of added time after a forced turnover by Finn McRobb. McRobb quickly pushed the ball to Aodhan Quinn, who threaded a pass in front of the goal. Blake controlled the ball with a quick double touch before slotting a left-footed shot into the goal. It was Blake’s third goal of the season and his 35th career strike in the USL Championship. Quinn, who has continued to dominate through the midfield, recorded his fifth assist of the season, tying his career high from 2021 with Phoenix Rising FC. The veteran midfielder now stands tied for third all-time in the league with 55 career assists, and has 111 total goal contributions (56 goals, 55 assists), ranking 22nd all-time.
Defensively, the Boys in Blue were solid. Goalkeeper Hunter Sulte opened the match with an early clearance and also earned his 10th clean sheet with Indy Eleven. Ben Ofeimu and Elvis Amoh each recorded key defensive saves in the first half to deny Pittsburgh inside the box. Defender Pat Hogan added a crucial block in the 30th minute to keep the clean sheet intact. Indy controlled much of the first-half possession and nearly broke through in the 17th minute when Amoh fired a shot from inside the box that was then deflected, leading to a right-footed strike from Blake that just went a bit wide. Moments later, Quinn tested the Pittsburgh keeper with a strong effort inside the box. The Boys in Blue earned several corners throughout the match, including three from midfielder James Murphy. Murphy continued to press through Pittsburgh’s defense early in the second half, with an assisted shot on goal by Blake. Pittsburgh pushed late but was denied by a key defensive stop from Quinn after a dangerous shot inside the box. With the win, Indy Eleven secured another home clean sheet and continued their upward momentum in the Eastern Conference.
