Former Indiana Basketball Player Wayne Radford Passes Away at Age 64
Former Indiana University Player Wayne Radford Passed away over the weekend at age 64. No Details on his death are known at this time. Radford was 1974 Indiana All Star out of Arlington HS in Indianapolis. He played for the Hoosiers from 1974-78 an was a Reserve on the Last Unbeaten National Championship Team that went 32-0 in 1976. He was an Academic All American and Academic All Big Ten along with 1978 Team MVP in his time with the Hoosiers. He was Selected by the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd Round of the 1978 NBA Draft where he played one season with the pacers before a career ending Knee Injury Averaging 3.8 Points Per Game in 50 games. He was Inducted in the Indiana Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2009.
Jamar Johnson Declares for 2021 NFL Draft
Indiana University Junior Safety Jamar Johnson has Declared for the 2021 NFL Draft. Johnson was an All Big Ten First Team Selection this season finishing 2nd on the team in tackles with 43. Johnson also Tied for the team lead in interceptions with Jaylin Williams with 4. The Indiana Defense Led the Country in interceptions with 17. Johnson is the 3rd Hoosier to declare for the draft since the season ended joining Wide Receiver Whop Philyor and Center Harry Crider.
IU Football adds Michigan Transfer Zach Carpenter to Roster
Indiana Football Announced the Offensive Lineman Zach Carpenter as Joined the Hoosiers for the 2021 Season. Carpenter is 6-5 329 LB Transfer from the University of Michigan. He Played in five of the six Games for Michigan as Redshirt Freshman in 2020. Carpenter started two games for Michigan this past season against Rutgers and Penn State. He did not play in 2019 and Played his HS Football at Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati Ohio.
