Wisconsin Completes 22 Point Comeback to Beat Indiana Men’s Basketball
The Indiana Hoosiers have now lost 19 in a row in Madison Wisconsin after a 64-59 loss to the Badgers Wednesday Night at the Kohl Center. Indiana has not there since 1998 the first year that the arena opened. Indiana was leading by as many as 22 when the Badgers made the 2nd half comeback after being down 42-25 at the break. Wisconsin outscored Indiana 39-17 in the 2nd half.

Indiana was led by Race Thompson with 12 points and 9 rebounds, Xavier Johnson had 10 points and 7 rebounds, Trayce Jackson-Davis 9 points and 6 rebounds and Parker Stewart with 9 points. Indiana was 24-62 for 38 percent from the field after shooting 17-31 for 54 percent in the first half. The Hoosiers were 7-31 in the 2nd half for 22 percent. Indiana was 5-13 from three-point range for 38.5 percent and missed all five three-point attempts in the 2nd half. The Hoosiers were 6-13 from the free throw line for 46 percent. Indiana pulled down 44 rebounds, 14 assists, 4 blocks 2 steals and 9 turnovers.

Wisconsin the 22nd ranked team in the nation was led by Johnny Davis with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Brad Davison had 9 points and Tyler Whal pulled down 12 rebounds. Wisconsin was 22-62 from the field for 35 percent, 5-23 from three-point range for 21 percent and 15-18 from the lane for 83 percent. The Badgers pulled down 41 rebounds, 12 assists, 6 blocks, 4 steals and 4 turnovers. Wisconsin is 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the Big Ten.

Indiana is 7-2 and 1-1 in the Big Ten and will Host Merrimack College on Sunday at Noon. Merrimack is located in North Andover Massachusetts and competes in the Northeast Conference. The Warriors are 4-6 on the season and on the road at 6th ranked Gonzaga tonight before making the trip to Bloomington.

Indiana Women’s Basketball Hosts Fairfield
Indiana Women’s Basketball Is back in action when they host the Fairfield Stags tonight inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall tonight at 7pm. Indiana is coming off a 70-40 win over Penn State Monday Night. All five Hoosiers Starters scored in double figures and scored 66 of the teams 70 points.

Indiana is 6-2 and 1-0 in the Big Ten. Mackenize Holmes leads the team in scoring with 16.5 and rebounds with 6.9 along with a team high 10 blocked shots. Ali Patberg averages 13.5, Grace Berger at 12.9 and a team high 40 assists, Nicole Carando-Hillary averages 10.8 and a team high 13 steals, and Aleska Gulbe averages 10.3 points per game. The Starters have scored 511 of the teams 560 points this season.

The Stags enter the matchup after dropping its last two games to Yale and UMass and 3-4 record. They are led by senior forward Lou Lopez-Senechal’s 18.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. Redshirt senior forward Callie Cavanaugh also adds double figures with 11.7 and grad student guard Sydney Lowery adds 11.3 points per game. Fairfield is averaging 62.7 points per game and were picked to finish third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference this season. Joe Frager is in his 15th season as head coach with a 243-188 record and in his 23rd season overall with 432-271 record. Fairfield is located in Bridgeport Connecticut.  

Edgewood Girls Basketball Looks to Stay Unbeaten Hosting South Vermillion
Edgewood Girls Basketball is looking to 10-0 tonight when they host South Vermillion 1-6 at 7:30 pm at the Mustang Corral in Ellettsville. Edgewood scoring 50.1 points per game and giving just 32.5. The Mustangs gave up 44 points to Linton on November 13 which is highest so far and a key to the Mustangs success so far this season which is the defensive pressure they put on teams.

Bloomington South 1-7 hosts Center Grove 6-5 tonight at 7:30pm. It has been a struggle for the Panthers who have lost 2 straight and average 34.4 points per game while giving up 54.3.

Indiana Pacers Beat The New York Knicks
The Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks 122-102 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse In Indianapolis Wednesday Night. The Pacers are 11-16 overall and 8-6 at home while the Knicks are 12-13 and 7-5 on the road. Rookie Chris Duarte scored 23 points, Myles Turner scored 22, Domas Sabonis scored 21 points and pulled down 11 rebounds, Malcolm Brodgon scored 16, and Caris LaVert added 15 points. The Pacers will play the Dallas Mavericks on Friday Night at 7pm.
