Colts QB Phillip Rivers Retires
Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Phillip Rivers has retired after a 17 year career in the NFL. The 39 year old spent this season with the Indianapolis Colts Throwing for 4,169 Yards and 24 Touchdown Passes. The Colts were 11-5 this season and lost to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Wild Card Round. In His Career Rivers Threw for 63,440 Passing Yards and 421 Touchdown Passes. Both Ranked 5th Best in NFL History behind Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Brett Farve in both categories. Rivers Spent 16 Years with the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers where he led the Chargers six playoff appearances and AFC Championship Game in the 2007 Season. Rivers was the 4th Overall Pick in the 2004 NFL Draft Out of NC State. Rivers was selected by the New York Giants and was involved in draft day trade with Eli Manning who was selected 1st overall.
Indiana Men’s Basketball Travels to Iowa
Indiana Men’s Basketball will face the Iowa Hawkeyes on the road tonight. The Game is 9 PM and will Be Broadcast on Fox Sports 1. The Hoosiers are 8-6 and 3-4 in the Big Ten Conference. Iowa 12-2 and 6-1 in the Big 10 is Ranked 4th in the Nation. Trayce Jackson-Davis Leads the Hoosiers in scoring with 20.4 PPG. The Hawkeyes are led by Luka Garza who averages 26.9 points per game.
Indiana Men’s Soccer Announces 2021 Schedule
Indiana Men’s Soccer has released the 2021 Schedule. All 10 Matches will be against Big Ten Opponents with five at Home and five on the Road. Indiana will open the Season February 19th when they host Wisconsin. The Big Ten Tournament will be held April 10-17th. The Location of the event is to be determined. The 2021 NCAA College Cup will be held May 13th-17th at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary NC. Men’s Soccer Games will be played without fans due the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.
Trio Of Hoosier Swimmers Honored By The Big Ten Conference
Indiana University Redshirt Junior Andrew Capobianco, Freshman Diver Anne Fowler and Junior Andrew Franzman were all honored as Big Ten Athletes of the week for Swimming. Capobianco was named Big Ten Diver of the Week. Fowler was named Big Ten Women’s Freshman of the Week and Franzman was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week.
