Bloomington Police Arrest Man for Attempted Murder
35 year-old Travis L. Holmes has been arrested by Bloomington Police for the Attempted Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, and Criminal Recklessness. Police were called an Arlington Road apartment complex to investigate multiple calls reporting shots being fired in the parking lot. Upon the arrival of Officers, several people were outside, but refused to cooperate with the investigation or provide any information about who was responsible for the shooting. Officers were unable to locate any victims, but did locate a parked vehicle with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the rear bumper. After viewing surveillance footage from the apartment complex, Detectives watched an altercation between a man and a woman, with the man firing several shots toward the woman. The shooter then fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. Police identified the shooter as Travis Holmes, who was apprehended without incident and remanded in custody at the Monroe County Jail.

Indiana announces INTIME for state tax refund status checks
The Indiana Department of Revenue recommends using INTIME, the Indiana Taxpayer Information Management Engine, to check the status of a refund. This e-services portal is available 24/7 and does not require an INTIME logon to complete this task. To request refund status, customers need to:
- Access INTIME at intime.dor.in.gov and select “Where’s my refund?”
- Select SSN or ITIN and enter their corresponding ID.
- Enter the tax year for which they are requesting the refund status.
- Enter the refund amount from their individual tax return which can be found on:
- Line 21 of their IT-40 Individual Income Tax Return Form.
- Line 21 of their IT-40PNR Part-Year or Full-Year Nonresident Individual Income Tax Return Form.
- Line 10 of their IT-40RNR Reciprocal Nonresident Individual Income Tax Return Form.

District 6 Conservation Officer of the Year announced
Indiana Conservation Officer Joe Tenbarge has been selected as the 2021 District 6 Officer of the Year. Tenbarge is assigned to Brown County and has been a conservation officer since 2011. In addition to his normal duties as a field officer, he has served as a public safety diver, background investigator, sonar operator, standard field sobriety test instructor, NASBLA certified boating instructor, and field training officer. District 6 includes Hendricks, Marion, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Monroe, Brown, and Bartholomew counties. The district award puts Tenbarge in the running for the Pitzer Award, which is given to the top overall conservation officer in the state and is selected from the 10 district award winners. The Pitzer Award is named after Conservation Officer James D. Pitzer, who was fatally shot while investigating illegal hunting activity on January 2, 1961, in Jay County.
