We’ve got to learn how to win. I have to help them in that area.” This was a game that featured eight ties, six lead changes and way too many missed shots from Hoosier guards, who were a combined 9-for-36. Trailing 71-69 in the closing seconds, IU got the ball to Jackson-Davis, who passed to an open Xavier Johnson who missed and finished the game with 7 points.
Wisconsin was led by Johnny Davis with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Brad Davison added 21 points and 7 rebounds. Tyra Buss who is the all-time leading scorer for Indiana University Women’s Basketball and won the 2018 WNIT Postseason Championship her Senior Year was in the stands behind the Wisconsin bench wearing a “W” on her sweatshirt supporting her fiancé Brad Davison who is a 5th year senior and is the all-time leader in Wisconsin Basketball history for career three pointers made. Fans all around the Big Ten love to boo Davison because he is has won in every Big Ten arena. Parker Stewart and Davison got into it. After a review, Davison was called for a flagrant 1 foul. Stewart hit both free throws for a seven-point IU lead but Badgers finished the game and improve to 20-5 overall and 11-4 in the Big Ten.
Indiana is off until Monday when they travel to Ohio State for a 7 pm matchup with the Buckeyes. The Hoosiers and Buckeyes were originally scheduled to play this Saturday at Noon but the Big Ten Conference shifted the game to Monday so that Ohio State and Iowa could play a rescheduled game against each other form earlier in the season that was postponed.
