NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament information and bracket predictions

The 2022 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament will kick off next week. This year, the field will increase to an initial 68 teams, including 2 wild card games to be played on Wednesday, March 17th. This is the first year that the Women’s Tournament will include teams #65-68 in an opening round.

The top 16 Tournament seeds will host games from rounds 1 and 2 at their home centers. The first round will be played March 18-19th and round 2 will be played from March 20-21st.

Subsequent rounds will fall under the 4 regions until the champions of each convene for the Final Four being held at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota from April 1-3rd. The Regional Sites are Bridgeport, Connecticut; Greensboro, North Carolina; Spokane, Washington; and, Wichita, Kansas.

The revealing of the full 68 team bracket will occur on ESPN networks at 8pm on Sunday, March 13th.

The South Central Indiana News Network (SCINN) will be covering the event live from Assembly Hall, as the #11 Indiana Hoosiers learn of their Tournament seeding. SCINN has predictions for the top 16 seeds:
