City of Bloomington Sanitation Services Cancelled for Remainder of Week
In consideration of the amount of snow accumulation thus far this week and the potential for further accumulation overnight on Wednesday, the City of Bloomington Sanitation Division has announced that trash and recycling collection will be cancelled for the remainder of the week to protect sanitation workers’ safety. After consultation with Sanitation staff, Public Works management determined that attempting to maneuver heavy carts over large banks of snow would present excessive difficulty and risk to worker safety. The regular weekly collection schedule is expected to resume on Monday, February 22. Updates about next week’s collection schedule are accessible by scanning the QR code below with a smartphone’s camera or by visiting https://api.recollect.net/r/area/bloomingtonin.
