Edgewood Athletics going all digital tickets for home events
Edgewood is moving to digital-only ticketing for its home athletic events this fall. Fans will buy tickets online through gofan.co (with no ‘m’ at the end), either ahead of time or at the gate. The school will put up a QR code fans can scan on their phones to get to the site, and fans will scan the tickets on their phones to get into the games. Physical tickets will not be available, and cash will not be accepted. Athletic director Mick Hammett said this system is what’s best for the school and the athletic department, so that’s what they’re doing. He provided assurance for fans that don’t have a credit card nor a smartphone. “We’re going to get people in the game,” Hammett said. All-sport passes will also be available, which will provide some long-term savings to fans who purchase them. Those passes will get fans into all Edgewood home athletic events in the 2022-23 school year (although they will not be good for IHSAA sectional events). Unlike individual game tickets, Edgewood will accept cash or check for the all-sport passes and those passes are already available for purchase.
