Indiana Football Coach Tom Allen Receives Contract Extension Through 2027
Indiana University Head Football Coach Tom Allen has restructured his contract that will take him through the 2027 season. Allen will make 4.9 Million till the end of his contract. Per the terms of the deal he signed in December 2019, Allen will continue to have a year added to the back end of his deal each year IU qualifies for a bowl game. Allen is 24-22 in 4 years at Indiana and 15-19 in the Big Ten. He has coached the Hoosiers in 3 Bowl Games. The Hoosiers went 6-2 this year and lost in the Outback Bowl to Mississippi.
Indiana Football Lands 1st 2022 Commit
Linebacker Kaiden Turner from Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville Arkansas has verbally committed to play football at Indiana University for the 2022 Season. He is the first member of the 2022 recruiting class. IU was the first to offer Turner a scholarship. He chose the Hoosiers over Arkansas, Arkansas State, California, Coastal Carolina, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech, Wake Forest and Washington State. He cannot sign his National Letter of Intent until December 2021 or February 2022.
Four Indiana Women’s Basketball Players Earn Big Ten Honors
Indiana Women’s Basketball had four players on all Big Ten Teams. For the 2nd straight Season two Hoosiers are on the All Big Ten First Team as Sophomore Mackenzie Holmes and Junior Grace Berger earned that honor for Berger was 2nd straight first team selection. Holmes was named to all-defensive team by the Media. Ali Patberg was named to the all-Big Ten 2nd team. The 3rd year in a row that Patberg as been named an all Big Ten Selection. Junior Forward Aleska Gulbe was named Honorable mention. Senior Keyanna Warthen was named the teams Big Ten Sportsmanship Honoree. The Hoosiers will Open the Big Ten Tournament Thursday 6:30 PM at Bankers Life Fieldhouse as the number 2 Seed and will face either 10 Seed Penn State or 7th Seed Michigan State.
Indiana Men’s Golf Tied For 8th after Day 1 of Spartan Collegiate
Indiana Men’s Golf is tied with Cincinnati for 8th Place after Day 1 of the Spartan Collegiate in Sea Island Georgia. The Hoosiers had score of 580 after the first two rounds which puts them 4 over par for the tournament. Senior Ethan Shepherd and Freshman Clay Merchant are tied for 17th place after shooting a 144 for even par after two rounds. Michigan State and Norte Dame are tied for 1st place with score of 570 which is 6 under par. The final round starts at 8 am this morning.
