
$2,000,000 Powerball ticket set to expire on December 15th
A winning Powerball ticket purchased in June is set to expire on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022. Players should check to see if they have the winning ticket. The $2 million Powerball® ticket that matched all five white balls with a Power Play of 2x was purchased at McClure Oil #53 located at 670 E. Main St. in Russiaville for the June 18, 2022, drawing.
The winning ticket must be claimed no later than 4:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 15, 2022, at the Hoosier Lottery Prize Payment office located at 1302 N. Meridian St. in Indianapolis. All Hoosier Lottery Draw game prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
The winning Powerball numbers for Saturday, June 18 are: 10-19-40-45-58 with the Powerball of 25. The ticket holder should ensure their ticket is in a secure place, consider meeting with a financial advisor and contact Hoosier Lottery customer service at 1-800-955-6886 for specific claim instructions.
Bloomington man arrested in Sullivan County
Markeith Brown, of Bloomington, was arrested on stolen vehicle and drug charges after authorities pulled him over in Sullivan County early Saturday morning. A Deputy with the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office pulled Brown over at about 2am on State Road 54, near Sullivan. The deputy discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen from Bloomington. During a search of the vehicle, the deputy found Brown to be in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. Brown is being heldin Sullivan County on a $35,000 bond.

1816 – President James Madison signed a Congressional resolution admitting Indiana to the Union as the 19th state. The new state government would be centered in the capital city of Corydon. Jonathan Jennings won the election to serve as the state’s first Governor.
