Indiana State Police Lieutenant Graduates from FBI National Academy
Indiana State Police Lieutenant Brian Bunner is back home in Indiana following his graduation from the 284th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigations National Academy in Quantico Virginia on Thursday December 8th. Lt. Brian Bunner was among a chosen group of law enforcement officers from departments across the United States to attend the FBI National Academy. Bunner has been with the Indiana State Police for 22 years leading the technology section.

The National Academy 284th session included two hundred and thirty-seven law enforcement officers from 48 states and the District of Columbia. The class included members of law enforcement agencies from 25 countries, five military organizations, and five federal civilian organizations. Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy offers 11 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training. Participants must have proven records as professionals within their agencies to attend. On average, these officers have 21 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions. A total of 53,907 graduates have completed the FBI National Academy since it began in 1935. The National Academy is held at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, the same facility where the FBI trains its new special agents and intelligence analysts.

Attorney General Todd Rokita takes additional actions to protect young Hoosiers from TikTok’s ‘dangerous content
Less than a week after launching two separate lawsuits against TikTok, Attorney General Todd Rokita now is calling on Apple and Google to change their age ratings for the app when making it available to consumers. Specifically, Attorney General Rokita is demanding that Apple update the TikTok rating from “12+” to “17+” in its App Store and that Google update the TikTok rating from “Teen” to “Mature” in the Google Play Store. The current ratings are misleading and deceptive to consumers, as explained in two multistate letters — one sent to Apple and the other to Google.

On Dec. 7, Attorney General Rokita filed two lawsuits against TikTok. One lawsuit alleges that TikTok lures children onto the platform through a variety of misleading representations. The other asserts that TikTok — which is owned by a Chinese company — has reams of highly sensitive data and personal information about Indiana consumers and has deceived those consumers to believe that this information is protected from the Chinese government and Communist Party.
