Investigation into child pornography results in arrest of Bedford man
On Thursday, January 5, 2023, 29 year-old Paul J. Imhoff, of Bedford, was arrested and then transported to the Lawrence County Jail on four counts of Possession of Child Pornography under 12 years of age, and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
The investigation began in December of 2022 after a family member located suspected images on the electronic devices owned and utilized by the suspect. Upon speaking to the complainant, Deputy Andrew Tillett of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department contacted Detective Robert Whyte of the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Section for assistance with the case.
Imhoff was interviewed about the allegations and forensic examinations of the suspected electronic devices were performed. Through those investigatory techniques, officers were able to confirm that the man was in Possession of Child Pornography. A review by the Lawrence County Prosecutors Office resulted in an arrest warrant that was approved by the Honorable Judge Plummer III.

Indiana Arts Commission accepting applications for annual grant programs
Arts Project Support grants provide nonprofit organizations and public entities with funding to support a specific arts activity, such as a one-time event, a single production, an exhibition, an educational workshop, or a series of related arts activities such as art classes or training sessions.
Arts Organization Support grants provide annual operating support for the ongoing artistic and administrative functions of eligible arts organizations that align with program priorities. Applicants that are funded in this program will be funded for two years (FY24 and FY25).
The Arts Organization Support program was recently evaluated and restructured to allow the program to better serve arts organizations and to create the outcomes identified by the public in externally-led input and feedback sessions. Changes to the program for FY24 and FY25 include improving the application process, reducing the minimum budget threshold for applicants to $20,000, aggregating the percentage of funded applications by organizational budget size, and offering the program every other year instead of annually. Learn more about these changes and the evaluation process.
Applications for both Arts Project Support and Arts Organization Support are due March 9, 2023, through the IAC’s online grant system.
