Former Indiana Men’s Basketball Player Al Durham Transfers to Providence

Former Indiana Men’s Basketball Player Al Durham will Transfer to Providence as graduate student this fall for his final season of college. Durham participated in the senior day ceremonies at the end of the season and will graduate this spring from IU. Durham played in 123 games started 97 games, scored 1,035 points and averaged 11.3 points this season and 8.4 points career average. He finished with 272 career rebounds, 240 career assists, 59 career steals and 128 career three pointers.  Durham has this extra year because the NCAA gave all athletes an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Durham is not the First Indiana Player to Transfer to Providence. Delray Brooks Played for Indiana from 1984-86 and played at Providence from 1986-88. Emmitt Holt played 1 season for the Hoosiers from 2014-15 and played for the Friars 2016-17 and 2018-2020 after missing the 2017-18 season due abdominal injury.        

Indy Eleven Announces 2021 Season Schedule

The Indy Eleven Soccer Team have announced the 2021 Season Schedule. The Team will play a 32-game schedule in the USL Championship for 4th season and the 8th year overall for the team.  16 home game are on tap as its original home of Michael A Carroll Stadium on the IUPUI Campus in downtown Indianapolis. The Indy Eleven begin its season Saturday May 1st at Birmingham Legion FC followed by its home opener Saturday May 8th against FC Tulsa. Most home games will kick at 7 PM and all home matches will be broadcast by MY Indy-TV 23 and WISH TV-8 in Indianapolis along with four away matches.

Edgewood Pounds Bloomington North in Softball

Edgewood pounded Bloomington North 13-1 in 5 Innings in the season opener at Edgewood Tuesday evening. Indiana Commit Taylor Minnick cracked a 3-run homer to right center to end the game. The Mustangs got the bats going late. Edgewood is 1-0 and will play this weekend in Corydon/North Harrison Tournament while Bloomington North 0-1 will stay on the road to take on Columbus East Thursday at 6 PM and at Shakamak on Saturday at 1 PM.
