Indiana Men’s Basketball Lands Transfer Xavier Johnson From Pittsburgh
The good news keeps coming for IU Men’s Basketball with Wednesday’s announcement that former University of Pittsburgh Player Xavier Johnson will Transfer to play for the Hoosiers. Johnson averaged 14.2 Points, 3.4 rebounds 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 18 appearances this season. Johnson originally committed to Nebraska where current IU assistant Kenya Hunter was on staff. Johnson re-opened his recruitment once Hunter left to go the University of Connecticut. Johnson is from Arlington Virginia the same hometown as Hunter. Johnson will have 2 years left here IU since all athletes were given an extra year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The 6-3 Johnson averaged 14.2 points in 84 career games including 81 starts for Pittsburgh.
Former Indiana Quarterback Nate Sudfeld Signs with San Francisco 49ers
Former Indiana University Quarterback Nate Sudfeld has signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Sudfeld was 6th round pick in in 2016 drafted by the Washington Football Team. He was cut by Washington in 2017 and claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles where he has spent the last 4 seasons. Sudfeld has played in 4 games with no starts 25-37 for 188 yards 1 touchdown and 1 interception.
Indiana Women’s Soccer Set to Play Michigan in Big Ten Regional Weekend Opener
4th seed Indiana Women’s Soccer will play 5th seed Michigan tomorrow at 6 pm in University Park PA as part of the Big Ten Regional Playoff Weekend. Indiana is 6-4-1 its best finish since 2013 and most points in Big Ten History with 19. Michigan is 5-3-3 and lead the all-time series with the Hoosiers 17-6-4. The Hoosiers won the last meeting 2-0 at Michigan to get first win at U-M Stadium since 2006. The Game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network Plus.
