Indiana Baseball Pitchers McCade Brown and Brayden Tucker Throw Combined No-Hitter  

Indiana Baseball Pitchers McCade Brown and Brayden Tucker threw a combined No-Hitter Saturday Night as the Hoosiers beat Illinois 8-0. It’s the First No Hitter in Indiana Baseball since April 25th, 1984 when the Hoosiers beat Rose Hulman 6-0. Brown a Sophomore right hander from Normal Illinois pitched 5 innings allowed 7 walks and 9 strikeouts and improved to 4-2 on the year. Tucker a Sophomore from Northview HS in Brazil got his first save of the year as he pitched 4 innings allowed 1 walk and 1 strikeout.  The Hoosiers are 13-7 on the season and their game with the Illini was rained out Sunday. They have a three-game series at Northwestern Friday through Sunday.

Indiana Men’s Soccer Beat Northwestern 3-0 In Big Ten Quarterfinals

Indiana Men’s Soccer beat Northwestern 3-0 in the Quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament Saturday Night at Bill Armstrong Stadium in Bloomington. Victor Bezzera scored twice to open the game at 6:37 Mark on a Penalty and then closed it out with his 7th goal of the season at 72:10 Mark. Ryan Wittenbrink scored at 42:23 Mark. The Hoosiers Outshot Northwestern 16-2 and Northwestern made 4 saves while IU did not have any saves. Indiana is 8-1 and will host Maryland on Wednesday in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals while Northwestern ends the year at 2-8-1.

Penn State Beats Indiana Women’s Soccer 3-1 in Big Ten Regional Playoff Weekend

Top Seed Penn State beat 4th seed Indiana 3-1 in the Big Ten Regional Playoff Weekend in University Park, PA Sunday Afternoon. The Hoosiers advanced after the game with Michigan last Friday was declared a no contest to COVID concerns within the Wolverines program. Penn State took a 3-0 lead with two goals from Ally Schlegel at 11:19 and 59:56 Marks. Frankie Tagliaferri scored at the 44:44 Mark. The Hoosiers got one back as Anna Bennett scored her second goal of the season at 72:32 Mark. Penn State is 10-1-1 on the year and advances to Big Ten Semifinals later this week while Indiana ends the Year 6-5-1.

Jaelynn Penn to Transfer to UCLA    

Former Indiana Women’s Basketball Player Jaelynn Penn will play her final year of College Basketball at UCLA.  Penn from Louisville Kentucky played four years for the Hoosiers before she opted out after the January 31st Michigan State game. Penn Announced March 31st she was leaving the Hoosiers and announced last Friday she was headed out West to play for the Bruins. Penn Averaged 9.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and had 26 assists this season.  All athletes were given an extra year this year due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
