Indiana-Norte Dame Agree to Home and Home Football Series

Indiana and Norte Dame have agreed to a home and home football series in 2030 and 2031. Indiana will travel to Norte Dame on August 31st, 2030 and Norte Dame will visit Bloomington September 27th, 2031. The Teams Last Met at Norte Dame on September 7th 1991 when the Irish beat Hoosiers 49-27 and last faced off in Bloomington October 21st, 1950 which was the last time the Hoosiers beat the Irish 20-7. Norte Dame Leads the All-Time Series 23-5-1 and the Irish have won the last six meetings.

Indiana Men’s Soccer Earns Number 3 Seed in the NCAA Tournament

The NCAA Announced the 36 team Men’s Soccer tournament field Monday afternoon. The Tournament will take place in Cary North Carolina and the surrounding areas will begin on April 29th and conclude with the National Championship Match on May 17th. The Hoosiers are 9-1-1 and the Number 3 overall seed and first round bye. The Hoosiers will await the winner of Milwaukee 8-4-0 and Saint Francis Brooklyn 5-1-2 in the first round to be played in Wilmington North Carolina May 2nd. The Committee plans to allow family and friends to attend the tournament and will allow up to 25% capacity.  The Hoosiers will make there 34th straight appearance which extends the longest active streak in the country and 45th overall in 48 seasons. The Hoosiers were given the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament by winning the Big Ten Conference Tournament.      

2021 Prospect Tamar Bates Commits to Indiana Basketball   

Indiana Men’s Basketball has landed a commitment from Tamar Bates a 6-5 guard who played his final season at IMG Academy in Florida. Bates is originally from Kansas City Missouri and played three years at Piper High School before transferring to IMG. Bates had been committed to Texas but asked to be released from his letter of intent when Head Coach Shaka Smart left to take the Head Coaching job at Marquette. Bates chose the Hoosiers over Marquette, North Carolina, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Pittsburgh. Bates is the second 2021 Commit and first under new coach Mike Woodson. Logan Duncomb 6-11 from Cincinnati Ohio committed under former head coach Archie Miller and remained committed once Woodson became head coach. Indiana has one more scholarship available for the 2021-22 season.

Vincennes University Men’s Basketball Falls in First Round of NJCAA Tournament

Vincennes University Men’s Basketball fell to Holmes Community College 71-66 in the National Junior College Men’s Basketball Tournament in Hutchinson Kansas Monday Afternoon. The Trailblazers end the year at 17-7 after Starting the season January 20th due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Trailblazers lost to John A Logan College 77-68 in the Central District Championship Game April 9th. The Trailblazers were given at At-Large berth and won the 2019 National Championship and finish the 2019-20 season at 28-5 before the season was shutdown.
