Indiana University Women’s Basketball to plat Miami for shot at Sweet 16
A trip to the Greenville Regional is on the line when top seed Indiana faces 9 seed Miami (FL) in NCAA Second Round action on Monday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The game is set for an 8pm tip-off.
Indiana easily beat the #16 seed, Tennessee Tech, 77-47, on Saturday morning in front of a crowd of 13,406 at Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers were led in scoring by Junior Guard Sydney Parrish, who scored 19 points. Freshman Forward Lilly Meister started in place of All-American Senior Forward Mackenzie Holmes, who was nursing a strain to the knee injury she sustained last season. Holmes is active for play this evening, but will doubtfully see her regular playing time.
Indiana has made the Sweet 16 the past two seasons, last year losing that match-up to eventual runner-up, UConn.
