Indiana Football Lands Northern Illinois Transfer Weston Kramer

Indiana Football has landed Grad Transfer Weston Kramer from Northern Illinois. Kramer is a 6-1 290-pound Defensive Tackle. Kramer started 24 Games for the Huskies in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He played 6 games during shortened 2020 season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Kramer has racked 97 tackles, including 12.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks. Kramer entered the transfer portal in January and was committed to Temple in February and then Decommitted in March.  

Center Grove Quarterback Tayven Jackson Commits to Tennessee

Center Grove Quarterback Tayven Jackson has verbally committed to the University of Tennessee for Football. Jackson is the younger brother of Indiana University Men’s Basketball player Trayce Jackson-Davis. At 6-4 and 195 pounds Jackson will be a senior at Center Grove and cannot sign a national letter of intent until December of this year or February 2022 when the National Signing Periods are allowed. Jackson led Center Grove to a 14-0 Record and the Class 6A State Championship last November. Jackson Completed 62% of his passes as a junior for 1,756 yards, 17 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. Jackson Chose the Volunteers over Arizona State and UCLA but had offers from many schools.  Jackson averaged 12.4 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 per game as a junior on the Center Grove Basketball Team.

2021-2022 Indiana Men’s Basketball Jersey Numbers Announced

Indiana Basketball Announced what numbers the newcomers will be wearing for the 2021-22 season and one returning player will switch his number. Pittsburgh Transfer Xavier Johnson will number 0 that was occupied by Senior Walk-On Cooper Bybee. Bybee could have returned for 5th year and chose not to and will graduate in May. Northwestern Transfer Miller Kopp will take number 10 which was worn by Rob Phinisee. Phinisee will wear number 1 which was worn by Al Durham who transferred to Providence in the offseason. Freshman Logan Duncomb will wear number 51 and Freshman Tamar Bates will wear number 53. Indiana has 13 scholarship players and three walk on’s for new head coach Mike Woodson this season.

Indiana Women’s Tennis Falls to Minnesota In Big Ten Tournament

Minnesota beat Indiana Women’s Tennis 4-3 in the First Round of the Big Ten Tournament in Madison Wisconsin Wednesday. The Hoosiers all got 3 wins in Singles from Alexandria Staiculescu, Jelly Bozovic and Annabelle Andrinopoulos. The Deciding match came down to number 1 doubles where Minnesota won 7-5. The Hoosiers end the season at 1-16 with their only win of the season coming February 21st at home against Michigan State where they beat the Spartans 4-3.
