Indiana Men’s Soccer beats Seton Hall 2-0 To Advance to the College Cup

Indiana Men’s Soccer beat Seton Hall 2-0 in the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament in Cary North Carolina Monday Night. The Hoosiers will advance to the College Cup Semifinals for the 21st time. The Game was scoreless and with 3:30 to go in the first half play to be stopped due to lightning in the area and the teams were under one hour delay. Once Play resumed Indiana was able to get on the board with a goal from Ryan Wittenbrink one minute before halftime.  The Hoosiers added a second goal with Thomas Warr scoring in the 58th minute. Goalkeeper Roman Celentano gets his 8th shutout of the season. The Hoosiers are 12-1-1 on the year and will play Pittsburgh in the Semifinals on Friday in Cary North Carolina at 8:30 PM on ESPNU, the first game will be Marshall and North Carolina at 6 PM on ESPNU.    

Indiana Baseball to Host Illinois May 18th

Indiana will host Illinois on Tuesday May 18th at 3 pm at Bart Kaufman Field in Bloomington. The Hoosiers and Illini will make up the game that was postponed on April 11th due to weather. Attendance will be limited to family only. The Hoosiers beat the Illini 6-4 on April 9th and 8-0 on April 10th. The Hoosiers are 23-10 on the season and ranked 21st in the nation. Indiana will travel to Michigan this weekend for a three-game series starting on Friday.

Indianapolis Colts Sign Left Tackle Eric Fisher to a one-year deal

The Indianapolis Colts have signed Left Tackle Eric Fisher to a one year 9.4 Million Dollar contract. Fisher played for the Kansas City Chiefs for the first eight years of his career. Fisher was the number 1 overall pick in 2013 out of Central Michigan. Fisher has played 117 career games and has 113 starts and was released from the Chiefs on March 11th.  The Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV beating the San Francisco 49ers 31-20 in Miami. Fisher is a two-time Pro Bowler in 2018 and 2020. The Colts are replacing Anthony Costanzo at the left tackle position after he retired after the 2020 season. The Colts did not select a left tackle during the 2021 draft as General Manager Chris Ballard addressed the need in free agency.  

Indiana Fever Face Chicago Sky in Second and Final Preseason Game

The Indiana Fever and the Chicago Sky will face off in the second and final WNBA Preseason Game this afternoon at Wintrust Arena in Chicago at 4:30 PM Eastern Time. The Fever beat the Sky Sunday afternoon 82-65 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The Fever had five in Double Figures with 16 points a piece from Tiffany Mitchell and Rookie Chelsey Perry. The Sky had 2 players in double figures will look rebound form 1-16 performance from beyond the arc in Sunday’s Game.
