Celebration of Life for Bobby “Slick” Leonard This Evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse  

The Indiana Pacers will have a celebration of life for Hall of Fame Coach Bobby “Slick” Leonard this evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Leonard passed away on April 13th at the age of 88.  Doors will open at 5:30 PM and attendance will be limited to 1,500 people due to COVID-19 Protocols.  Tickets went on sale last Friday for $ 5.29 which is number of total wins he had as coach of the Pacers with 529 wins. The Event will be livestreamed at Pacers.com/Slick. Leonard played high school ball at Terre Haute Gerstmeyer before going to play at Indiana University and winning the 1953 National Championship. He coached the Pacers to three ABA Championships.

2021 NFL Schedule Announced Tonight at 8 PM

The 2021 NFL Regular Season Schedule will be announced at 8 PM this evening on NFL Network and ESPN2. For the first time ever, teams will play 17 games in an 18-week period with each team getting one week off. The NFL Announced there will be 3 preseason games instead of the traditional four The First Regular Season Game will be Thursday September 9th with the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting.  The Playoffs and The Super Bowl will be a week later with the Big Game taking place February 13th,2022 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood California, which is the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

Indiana Fever Lose to The Chicago Sky 83-70

The Indiana Fever lost to the Chicago Sky 83-70 in Wintrust Arena Tuesday Afternoon in the final WNBA preseason game. Victoria Vivians was the only Fever player in double figures with 15 points. Chicago was led by Astou Nadour-Fall with 13 points, Candace Parker added 12 points and Lexie Brown added 10 points. The Fever and the Sky split the preseason series with both teams winning a game on their home floors.  The Fever open the regular season at New York on Friday at 7 PM on NBA TV and the home opener Sunday against New York at 2 PM on CBS Sports Network.

Tamika Catchings To Be Honored at May 23rd Fever Home Game

The Indiana Fever will honor Current VP of Basketball Operations and General Manager Tamika Catchings when Fever takes on the Washington Mystics Sunday May 23rd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse at 1 PM.  Catchings will be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend.  During halftime of the game, Catchings banner with new embroidered Hall of Fame designation will be raised alongside former Fever coach and Hall of Fame Lin Dunn, who served as the head coach when the Fever won the 2012 WNBA Championship.  Catchings had her Number 24 retired by the Fever June 24th, 2017. It is still the only number retired in franchise history.
