2021 NFL Regular Season Schedule Announced

The 2021 NFL Regular Season Schedule was announced Last night on NFL Network and ESPN2. For the first time ever, teams will play 17 games in an 18-week period with each team getting one week off. The NFL Announced there will be 3 preseason games instead of the traditional four The First Regular Season Game will be Thursday September 9th with the defending Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Dallas Cowboys at 8:20 PM on NBC. The Indianapolis Colts will open the season at home on Sunday September 12th the Seattle Seahawks at 1 pm on Fox. The Colts will have 4 Primetime games this season. Monday October 11th at Baltimore 8:15 PM on ESPN, Sunday October 24th 8:20 PM at San Francisco on NBC, Thursday November 4th 8:20 against the New York Jets at Lucas Oll Stadium on Fox and NFL Network and Christmas Night at Arizona 8:15 on NFL Network. The final regular season home game will be Sunday January 2nd against the Las Vegas Raiders and the Final Regular season game will be Sunday January 9th at Jacksonville. The Colts will Host defending Super Bowl Champion the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday November 28th at 1 PM.  The Playoffs and The Super Bowl will be a week later with the Big Game taking place February 13th,2022 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood California, which is the new home of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

Indiana Football Lands Auburn Transfer Jaren Handy

Defensive End Jaren Handy has announced that he will transfer to Indiana from Auburn. Handy played for 2 seasons for the Tigers and had 6 solo tackles including 3 for loss and 1 sack in 14 Career games.Handy played 78 total snaps in 7 games during the 2020 season.  The 6-5 252 Pound Handy is from Hattiesburg Mississippi and was top 100 Recruit coming out of High School and is the Cousin of Current Hoosiers Wide Receiver Ty Fryfogle.  The Hoosiers add more depth with the loss 5 players with 2 to the NFL and 3 to the Transfer Portal.  Handy will have 3 years left with the Hoosiers.

Indiana Women’s Basketball Coach Teri Moren to Be on Court Coach for Team USA U-19 Trials  

Indiana Women’s Basketball Coach Teri Moren will be an on-court coach for the Team USA under 19 basketball trials this Friday through Sunday at Metro State University in Denver Colorado.  Moren along with Memphis Coach Katrina Merriweather will serve as on court coaches to assist the USA Under 19 coaching staff to help with on court drills and scrimmages. Under 19 Head Coach is Cori Close of UCLA and assistants Aaron Johnston of South Dakota State and Joni Taylor of Georgia. The Under 19 World Cup will take place in Debrecen Hungary August 7-15 and feature 16 nations chasing a gold medal.

Indiana Football to Face Old Dominion in 2025

Indiana Football will host the Old Dominion Monarchs on August 30th, 2025 at Memorial Stadium. It will be the first meeting between the two schools. Old Dominion is located in Norfolk Virginia and is in Conference USA. The 2025 Non-Conference schedule is now set with IU Hosting Louisville September 6th and Indiana State September 13th.
