Law suits filed over latest Indiana anti-abortion law
The Whole Women’s Health Alliance along with several Planned Parenthood Organizations throughout the country have filed suit against the State of Indiana over HB 1577, a new law recently signed into effect which requires physicians to explain to their patients about patients about a procedure that allegedly can reverse a medication-induced abortion. The bill was enacted in order to ensure that pregnant patients have all available information, although some doctors believe that there is not enough evidence that the procedure is safe and effective. The new law also requires parents who give their consent for their dependent to move forward with an abortion, have their permission notarized, as to eliminate potential fraudulent cases.
