Indiana Cutters Host Stateline Seminoles In a Battle of 1-1 Teams

The Indiana Cutters will look to rebound from 18-0 road loss at the Fort Wayne Wolverines when they host the Stateline Seminoles tomorrow at 6 pm at Danville HS in Danville Indiana. The Cutters won the home opener on Hendricks Regional Health Field at Warrior Stadium two weeks ago 43-0 and looking to carry that over tomorrow’s matchup. The Seminoles are coming off a 30-12 home win to the Kentuckiana Calvary after week 1 road loss at the Indiana Tornados 46-7. The Seminoles are a second-year team based out of Richmond Indiana. This will be the 3rd meeting between these two teams. The Seminoles beat the Cutters 14-12 at Martinsville HS on August 15th, 2020 and the Cutters steamrolled the Seminoles in the Playoffs 53-6 in Greenville Ohio on September 19th, 2020. Tickets are $ 5 for Adults and Children 12 and under are admitted free. 

Grace Berger and Team USA Beat US Virgin Islands in AmeriCup Quarterfinal

Indiana University Women’s Basketball Rising Senior Grace Berger scored 13 points, pulled down 5 rebounds, dished out 3 assists and had 2 steals as Team USA beat the US Virgin Islands 97-46 in the Quarterfinals of the AmeriCup Tournament in San Juan Puerto Rico. Berger played 22 minutes and was 5-7 from the field. She was 0-1 from downtown and 3-3 from the foul line. The USA will play Brazil at 6:10 this evening in the semifinals with the Championship and 3rd place game on Saturday.  

Edgewood’s Taylor Minnick to Play in All Star Softball Game

Edgewood Grad and Incoming Indiana University Freshman Taylor Minnick will play in the Indiana North-South Girls All Star Softball doubleheader at Decatur Central High School in Indianapolis Tomorrow Morning beginning at 10 AM. Minnick Becomes the 5th player from Edgewood to play in the All-Star Games joining Rachelle Chambers in 1990, Audrey Ernst in 2009 and she won the MVP award, Mariah Gillie in 2010 and Taylor Acuff in 2018. Minnick has committed to play Softball at Indiana University. In between games they will announce the 2021 Miss Softball award and the five finalists are Peyton Pepkowski of Lake Central, Keirstin Roose of Lakeland, Dylan Cravens of Decatur Central, Sam Booe of New Palestine and Sarah Stone of Bedford North Lawrence.

Kristina Paegle Places 57th in 100 Meter Freestyle at US Olympic Trials

Bloomington South Rising Senior Swimmer Kristina Paegle finished 57th overall in the 100 Meter Freestyle Prelims at the US Olympic Trials in Omaha Nebraska. Paegle finished with a time of 56.70. She finished in the top 2 in the Wave 1 Qualifying session last week to advance to this week’s Wave II Trials. She will compete Saturday in the 50 Meter Freestyle.
