IU Baseball Signee Treylen “TJ” White Signs with Washington Nationals
Treylen “TJ” White 6-2 210 Pound Outfielder/first Baseman from Moore South Carolina has signed a contract with the Washington Nationals and will forgo a college career with Indiana University. White was drafted with the 143rd overall pick in the 5th round on Monday in the Major League Baseball Draft. White will make 382.70 thousand Dollars with his contract. White Committed to Indiana University out of Dorman High School In South Carolina. He had chosen the Hoosiers over Penn State, Florida International South Florida and Stetson. White along with Southridge HS product Colson Montgomery were the 2 IU Signees that were chosen in the 2021 MLB Draft along with six current Hoosiers.

Bloomington South Swimmer Kristina Paegle to Represent Team USA Overseas
Bloomington South Rising Senior Kristina Paegle will represent the United States in two international events October 1st-3rd in Berlin Germany and October 7-9 in Budapest Hungary as part of the 2021 United State Junior National Team Swimming Roster. Paegle was selected based on her performance as the US Olympic Trials in Omaha Nebraska in June as she made it to the Main Trials in the 50 and 100 Freestyle events after she qualified by finishing in the top 2 of each event in Wave I.   43 Men and Women that are age 18 and under have made the team and joins Berit Berglund, Jo Jo Ramey and Kyle Ponsler as the four Indiana Athletes to be named to the team along with coach Alec Haley.

Jack Perkins to Transfer to Indiana Baseball from Louisville
Indiana University Baseball is adding Jack Perkins to the roster. Perkins will be a redshirt Junior after missing the 2020 season due to injury. in 2021 Perkins made 11 appearances and 1 start with a 1-1 record and 7.31 ERA. In 2019 Perkins made 16 appearances for Louisville with a 3-0 record and 4.18 ERA in 32.1 Innings of work. Perkins is from Kokomo Indiana and played at Kokomo High School and should have 3 years left IU since all athletes were given an extra year of eligibility due to the COVID-19 Pandemic in the 2020 season. 

IHSAA Announces Fall Postseason Sites
The IHSAA Announced the Sectional Sites for the State Tournaments this fall. Boys Tennis Sectional and Regional will be held at Bloomington North. Cross Country will see the Sectional and Regional at Bedford North Lawrence along with the Semistate at Brown County. The Class 3A Girls Soccer Sectional will be held at Bloomington North while Class 2A will be at Owen Valley. Boys Soccer Sectionals will see Class 3A at Terre Haute North while Class 2A at Monrovia and Class 1A at South Knox. Volleyball Sectionals will see Class 4A at Martinsville, Class 3A at Owen Valley, Class 2A Linton and Class 1A at Loogootee.
