IU Graduate workers to strike starting on Wednesday
The Bloomington campus chapter of the Indiana Graduate Workers Collation approved a three-day strike to begin on Wednesday morning. Over 92% of the new union’s members voted to approve a 3-day strike which will interrupt classes until Friday of this week.

The union demands increased wages even after receiving a 50% increase in salary just 2 years ago, coupled with additional benefits, such as the elimination of many graduate student fees.

Interestingly enough, the union cited inflation hikes as their motive for demanding even more increases in pay. Unions have historically been blamed for significant jumps of inflation throughout the history of our economy.
