Larkin and Lehmann Headline All-Crossroads League Honors for Taylor University Softball
The 2024 All-Crossroads League honors were announced on Tuesday afternoon, in which five Trojans were honored, with Kaylee Larkin and Livie Lehmann honored as First-Team All-Crossroads League selections.  Joining the sophomore duo were Aleyah Rastetter and Madisyn Standridge as Second-Team All-Crossroads League members, with Mackenzie Noah rounding out the Taylor selections, earning Honorable Mention All-CL.  Taylor (28-27) capped a terrific year and looks to return the majority of its lineup next year.

Larkin delivered one of the best offensive seasons in program history during her breakout sophomore campaign. The Brownsburg, Indiana native led the team in hits (66), home runs (14), RBI (41), walks (29), batting average (.437), on-base percentage (.527), and slugging percentage (.821). Larkin’s .821 slugging percentage set a single-season record, while her 14 long balls were second-best in a season in Taylor program history. Larkin also had the best on-base percentage of anyone with at least 100 at-bats in a season in program history and ranked seventh in the NAIA in home runs and eleventh with 30 extra-base hits. The sophomore also racked up 124 total bases to place eleventh in the NAIA and second in program history for a single season.  Lehmann had another terrific year to earn First-Team All-CL in her first two years at Taylor. Lehmann hit 21 doubles, one shy of her own single-season record set a year ago and increased her home run tally to nine while increasing her walks (18) and decreasing her strikeouts at the plate. The superstar sophomore was terrific in the field and led the team with 44 runs scored. Lehman was seventh in the NAIA in doubles and matched Larkin with 30 extra-base hits.

Rastetter capped an amazing career at Taylor with her third Second-Team All-CL selection. Rastetter ended her career atop the career charts in program history in walks (80), games played (225), and games started (221) while placing in the top ten in at-bats, home runs, runs scored, hits, doubles, triples, RBI, and total bases, showing her immense impact during her collegiate career. Rastetter’s final stanza included 18 doubles and 62 hits, both of which were second-best on the team.  Another sophomore, Standridge, had a terrific season, which was recognized by the Crossroads League with second-team All-CL honors. Standridge swiped 26 bases, the second most in a season in program history. The Alexandria, Indiana native continued to show improvement at the plate, knocking five home runs, seven doubles, and 47 hits for TU, establishing herself in the five-hole.  Rounding out the Taylor recipients was Noah being named All-CL Honorable Mention. Noah led the teams in strikeouts (56), complete games (13), shutouts (3), appearances (30), games started (25), and innings pitched (148.1) while matching Mady Foy with 12 wins. The Allen Park, Michigan native has seen her remarkable consistency land her in the top ten in program history in wins (34), games started (70), complete games (37), shutouts (6), and innings pitched (407.1).
