Junior Ella Roselli set personal best scores on both the 1-meter (317.10) and 3-meter (364.95) to sweep the women’s events and capture her second Big Ten Diver of the Week honor this season. Senior Maxwell Weinrich traded first and second place finishes with sophomore teammate Joshua Sollenberger, the former winning on 3-meter (425.55) and placing second on 1-meter (388.05), to get his first award of the campaign. Junior Miranda Grana highlighted the meet with her program record in the 200-yard butterfly, touching in 1:53.25. Indianapolis Colts Fall to the Seattle Seahawks in Phillip Rivers Return   Jason Myers kicked a franchise-record six field goals, including a 56-yarder with 29 seconds left, and the Seattle Seahawks outlasted 44-year-old quarterback Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts 18-16 on Sunday. Rivers threw a touchdown pass after coming out of retirement to make his first start in nearly five years, and he led the Colts into position for Blake Grupe’s go-ahead, 60-yard field goal with 47 seconds left. That was enough time for Sam Darnold and the Seahawks (11-3). Rashid Shaheed returned Grupe’s kickoff 28 yards to the Seattle 37, and Darnold connected with Shaheed twice for 25 yards to set up Myers. Desperate to salvage their season after Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending torn Achilles tendon, the Colts (8-6) turned to Rivers, a grandfather who’d been coaching high school football and was a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Indy has lost four straight and five of six to fall out of playoff position in the AFC. Seattle kept pace with the Los Angeles Rams atop the NFC West. It was Seattle’s first victory without a touchdown since Dec. 26, 2024, when the Seahawks beat Chicago 6-3. Colts’ Offensive lineman Bernhard Raimann injured an elbow in the second quarter and did not return. Indianapolis will host the San Francisco 49ers next Monday at 8:15 PM.

Indiana Pacers fall to the Washington Wizards at Gainbridge Fieldhouse Marvin Bagley III scored a season-high 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and CJ McCollum scored 18 points on Sunday as the Washington Wizards beat the Indiana Pacers 108-89 for their first road win in nearly two months. It was Bagley’s second double-double of the season. Justin Champagnie added 13 points and 14 rebounds for Washington. The Wizards snapped a four-game skid and improved to 2-11 on the road this season, with their only other away win coming Oct. 24 at Dallas. And they did it with defense. The short-handed Pacers finished with their second-worst shooting percentage of the season (36.9%) and their third-worst mark from 3-point range (25.6%).

Bennedict Mathurin had 15 points to lead Indiana, which has lost two straight and four of six. Jay Huff scored 13 points, and Isaiah Jackson added 11 points and 12 rebounds while Indiana’s offense looked completely out of sync. The result: Coach Rick Carlisle’s six-month wait to celebrate his 1,000th victory will be put on hold yet again. He needs one win to become the 11th coach to achieve the milestone and the first since Doc Rivers in November 2021 when he was coaching the Philadelphia 76ers. Washington closed the first half on a 13-4 run to take a 58-47 lead. The Wizards extended the margin to 66-51 early in the third quarter. Indy cut the deficit to 66-58 but watched the Wizards answer with seven straight, and the Pacers never got close again.

WTHR Channel 13 in Indianapolis to serve as the Official Broadcast Partner of the Indy Ignite for the 2026 Season   WTHR, Indianapolis’ NBC affiliate, will serve as the official broadcast and streaming partner for the Indy Ignite’s second season, beginning in January, the team and the station announced Friday, Dec. 12. The partnership comes as the Ignite are entering their second campaign for the Major League Volleyball Championship — in their inaugural season, they finished runner-up in the eight-team league. The partnership marks the first time WTHR is offering live, local professional sports exclusively on their streaming platform and the first time Indy Ignite’s matches will be offered locally on a free streaming app.

Sixteen of the Ignite’s 28 matches will stream on WTHR+, a free 24/7 streaming app accessible on smart TVs and streaming devices such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV. WTHR+ is a digital extension of WTHR, providing live local news, weather and sports beyond traditional broadcast times, along with original programming and on-demand content for central Indiana viewers. “This unprecedented partnership with Indy Ignite allows us to bring live, local sports directly to our growing streaming audience,” said Brent Denny, WTHR president and general manager. “As we continue to innovate how we deliver content, this collaboration gives fans even more ways to connect with the team they love and strengthens our mission to serve central Indiana across every platform.”

The agreement – which allows for non-nationally televised Ignite matches to be broadcast across Indiana – complements the Major League Volleyball national broadcast schedule, which includes CBS, Roku and VICE as national broadcast partners. Eleven Ignite matches will be broadcast nationally. “We are thrilled to welcome WTHR as our official broadcast partner for 2026,” said Mary Kay Huse, president and general manager of Indy Ignite. “We are always looking for new ways to expose the excitement and athleticism of Indy Ignite pro volleyball to the community, and working with the great storytellers at WTHR is a perfect way to do that. “While we don’t think there’s any better way to experience Ignite matches than to come to Fishers Event Center and see them for yourself, watching on WTHR+ will provide a convenient new way for our local audience to follow along, especially when we are on the road or our fans are.”

The partnership was visible for the first time at Pepper’s Birthday Party last Friday at the Fishers Event Center. The event, which was free and open to the public celebrates the first birthday of the Ignite’s diva mascot, Pepper. The family-friendly event included other mascots from central Indiana sports teams, an appearance from Santa and an opportunity for fans to play volleyball with Ignite players on the Ignite’s 2026 court, which features WTHR’s logo. New Pepper merchandise, including Pepper dolls and volleyballs, was available for the first time at the party.
