The game will be streamed on Peacock with Paul Burmeister (pxp) and Austin Rivers (analyst) on the call.\u00a0 The Spartans enter the game with a record of 19-4 (10-2 Big Ten) under Hall of Fame head coach Tom Izzo. Michigan State has seven players that score 7.5 points per game or more and are led by 13.4 points per night from senior guard Jaden Akins.\u00a0 MSU is tied for 11th nationally (second in the Big Ten) with an average of 40.7 rebounds per game. They outrebound their opponents by 10.2 boards per night, the third-best figure in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Indiana holds 73-59 advantage in the series history between the two programs. The Hoosiers last secured a win at the Breslin Center on Feb. 2, 2019, in a 79-75 overtime game. IU was led by 19 points from future NBA Lottery pick<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Romeo Langford.   Last season, Indiana claimed a 65-64 victory in the lone meeting between the teams on March 10, 2024.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Kel&#8217;el Ware, the NBA&#8217;s Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month in January, provided 28 points, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots in the Senior Day win.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Malik Reneau\u00a0added 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Mackenzie Mgbako<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>tallied 13 points and six boards.<br>\u00a0<br>Indiana dropped its fifth-straight game with a 70-67 result against No. 24\/22 Michigan on Feb. 8 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Hoosiers trailed by as many as 18 points in the first half before mounting a furious comeback to tie the game at 59-59 with 4:02 to play.  Sophomore forward<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Mackenzie Mgbako<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>collected his second career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Junior forward\u00a0Malik Reneau\u00a0posted team highs in both points (16) and assists (5) in 30 minutes of run. Fifth-year senior guard\u00a0Anthony Leal\u00a0added a season-high 12 points on 3-of-3 shooting from the 3-point line, including a 65-footer as time expired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indiana University Women&#8217;s Basketball falls at Minnesota <\/strong>                                                                                                                                                            Shooting woes plagued Indiana as it dropped a 66-56 decision to Minnesota at Williams Arena on Sunday afternoon.  Senior forward\u00a0Karoline Striplin\u00a0paced Indiana (15-8, 7-5 B1G) early with seven points in the first quarter as it took advantage of a Minnesota drought to take a 13-9 lead. It would be a four-point lead after one for the Hoosiers, 17-13, who stretched its lead to five to start the second on a 3-pointer by sophomore guard\u00a0Juliana LaMendola.  Minnesota took advantage of a scoring drought by Indiana, who went three-and-a-half minutes without a field goal. Junior guard\u00a0Shay Ciezki\u00a0swung momentum back in IU&#8217;s favor with five-straight points and the lead 27-25. But the Gophers closed out the half with two scores to lead 29-27.  Indiana couldn&#8217;t gain traction in the second half, as Minnesota (19-6, 7-6 B1G) turned in a 68.7 percent clip from the floor in the third quarter. The deficit grew to as many as 15 to start the fourth quarter as Indiana&#8217;s comeback attempt in the fourth was too late.  Junior guard\u00a0Lexus Bargesser connected on a baseline trip and Chloe Moore-McNeil finished at the rim. Ciezki recorded her 1,000<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0career point as a collegiate player with a team-high 12 points. Striplin also added 12 points in the effort. Moore-McNeil also added double figures with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists. Sydney Parrish led IU on the glass with six rebounds.  The Hoosiers travel to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan Wednesday Night at Crisler Center at 7 PM on B1G+. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indiana University Men&#8217;s Soccer adds Four Newcomers for the 2025 Fall Season <\/strong>\u00a0                                                                                                                        Indiana men&#8217;s soccer head coach\u00a0Todd Yeagley\u00a0announced on Monday four additions for the 2025 season, set to join the program in the coming fall. The quartet includes three freshmen \u2013 Jayvyn Jackson of Orlando, Florida, Judewellin Michel from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and Colton Swan from Detroit, Michigan \u2013 as well as one graduate transfer, Ben Do from Penn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ben Do | Defender | Graduate Transfer | Seaside, Calif. | Penn-Ben Do was a three-year starter from 2022-24 at Penn, where he earned honorable mention All-Ivy honors all three seasons and led the Quakers to the NCAA Tournament as a sophomore and senior. In his 51 games played, the Quakers held opponents to 40 goals (0.78 goals per game) and totaled 24 clean sheets. Do recorded one goal and 10 assists at Penn.  &#8220;Ben\u00a0is a high-level outside back with the versatility to play on either flank,&#8221; Yeagley said. &#8220;His attacking qualities and winning mentality align perfectly with our team culture, and we&#8217;re excited to welcome him to the program this fall.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jayvyn Jackson | Forward | Fr. | Orlando, Fla. | OFC Barca- Jayvyn Jackson starred at Colonial High School, where he scored 35 goals in 15 matches as a senior \u2013 a total that ranked No. 15 nationally according to MaxPreps.com. Jackson also played club for OFC Barca in the United Premier Soccer League and helped his team to a UPSL Central Florida title.  &#8220;Jayvyn\u00a0is a dynamic attacker with elite pace and physicality,&#8221; Yeagley said. &#8220;A proven goal scorer on the national stage, he brings a relentless energy and spark to our attacking group. We are eager to see the impact he&#8217;ll make at IU.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Judewellin Michel | Goalkeeper | Freshman | Montreal, Quebec, Canada | CF Montr\u00e9al- Judewellin Michel is a CF Montr\u00e9al product and was one of eight academy players invited to first team preseason training camp as the club prepares for the 2025 Major League Soccer season. In 2022, Michel led his team representing Quebec win the Canada Summer Games and earned Most Valuable Player honors.  &#8220;Jude arrives with an impressive pedigree from CF Montr\u00e9al&#8217;s academy, bringing high-level experience to our goalkeeping unit,&#8221; Yeagley said. &#8220;His shot-stopping ability, along with his size and athleticism, combine to make him a standout talent. We&#8217;re excited about the impact he&#8217;ll have at IU and his bright future ahead.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Colton Swan | Forward | Freshman | Detroit, Mich. | Colorado Rapids- A four-star recruit according to Top Drawer Soccer, forward Colton Swan has recorded 64 goals and 26 assists in his club career between Michigan Jags and his current club, the Colorado Rapids Academy. As an Under-16 player, Swan was his age group&#8217;s MLS Cup Golden Boot winner as the tournament&#8217;s top scorer. At U15, he was a United States Youth Soccer National Champion. &#8220;Colton\u00a0is one of the premier front-runners in the country, and we believe he can make an immediate impact in our attack this fall,&#8221; Yeagley said. &#8220;He is a lethal finisher inside the box, and especially in the air, making him a key addition to our squad.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indiana Fever and Katie Lou Samuelson mutually part ways <\/strong>                                                                                                                                                                 The Indiana Fever announced on Monday that they are mutually parting ways with forward Katie Lou Samuelson.  Samuelson had one year remaining on her contract with a cap hit of $180,250.  She averaged 4.3 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game in the 2024 season while shooting 33% from three-point range.  Samuelson has played five seasons in the WNBA, with all of them being with different teams. Her career average for points per game is 5.9.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fever have had a busy offseason, added four new players and re-signed one.  They have brought in DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard, Sophie Cunningham, and Sydney Colson, and re-signed Kelsey Mitchell.  Of the players they have added, they have a combined seven WNBA titles, bringing championship pedigree and experience to the Fever.  Samuelson is the second player the Fever have either waived or parted ways with. The Fever waived guard and former IU star Grace Berger on February 2. The Fever went 20-20 and made it back to the postseason for the first time since 2016 in the 2024 season.  Their 2025 season tips off against the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday, May 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Taylor Trojans Men&#8217;s Lacrosse Opens Season with Loss to Second-Ranked Webber International Warriors<\/strong>   <strong>                                                                                       <\/strong>The Taylor men\u2019s lacrosse program opened its 2025 campaign with a tough assignment on Monday afternoon, taking on No. 2 Webber International (2-0) in a neutral field tilt at Grand Park.  The Trojans struggled early against the Warrior attack and limped to the intermission facing a 14-1 deficit. TU found its footing after the break however, battling to a 6-6 draw over the final two periods of action to settle the final margin at 20-7.  Henry Cooper was the offense for Taylor, netting all seven scores on unassisted strikes in his first collegiate showing. The freshman also led the squad with 14 shots and nine shots on goal. Lucas Pacer also performed well, winning four-of-six faceoffs and posting four ground balls, while Ethan Andrews and David Celesti each scooped up three ground balls.  Taylor (0-1) will return to action on February 21 and 22 in Missouri, with back-to-back road clashes at Missouri Baptist and Columbia. The Trojans\u2019 home opener is set for March 1 at 1:00 pm against RV Saint Ambrose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Taylor University Men&#8217;s Basketball Player Anton Webb Collects Third Crossroads League Offensive Player-of-the-Week Nod<\/strong>                                                        The Crossroads League announced its Athletes-of-the-Week on Monday afternoon and Anton Webb collected his eighth CL award of the season as the Offensive-Player-of-the-Week.  In a pair of overtime games against teams ahead of Taylor in the Crossroads League standings, Webb flexed his offensive muscles to the tune of 25 points, 3.5 assists, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game. The terrific numbers are even more impressive, considering how efficiently he played on the offensive end, shooting 69 percent from the field and 80 percent from beyond the arc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The senior began the week by scoring 34 points against No. 12 Grace and hitting a free throw to send it to overtime. The forward shot 14-22 from the field and made a career-best three shots from beyond the arc on four attempts. Webb took over for the Trojans after halftime, registering 28 of the team&#8217;s 48 points after the break and providing a pair of assists as he sat just two minutes out of the final 25. Webb continued his terrific day in a senior day overtime victory over Spring Arbor. Webb scored half of his 16 points and dished out five assists before halftime to help keep TU in the game. The Dayton, Ohio native saved his best for overtime, scoring the first six points in front of a huge contingent of family members there to support him on Senior Day. Webb\u2019s eight honors this season are the most among men\u2019s basketball players in the Crossroads League, one ahead of Grace\u2019s Ian Scott. Taylor has earned 34 league athlete-of-the-week awards in 2024-25, with men\u2019s basketball accounting for eight.
