Monroe County Board of Health approves continuation of face covering mandate
<\/strong>The Monroe County Board of Health has approved a measure to recommend extending the face covering mandate throughout the month of October at their recent meeting. According to state law, the mandate must now be approved by the County Commissioners, who will next meet on September 29th<\/sup>. The recommendation is expected to pass, unanimously.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monroe County opens COVID-19 testing site
<\/strong>Monroe County now has a COVID testing facility, the Gravity Site, located at 500 N Profile Parkway, Bloomington, IN 47404. It is a drive thru facility operating 8AM-4PM Tuesdays-Saturdays. The is paid for by government tax revenue, and there is no appointment necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indiana State Police Seeks Recruits for Capitol Police Section
<\/strong>The Indiana State Police Capitol Police Section is now accepting applications. Individuals who are interested in beginning a rewarding career as a Capitol Police Officer may apply online<\/a>. This website will provide a detailed synopsis of the application process as well as information on additional career opportunities with the Indiana State Police Department. Applications must be received via online submission by 11:59 pm (EDT) on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. Ready Pac Foods, Inc. Recalls Ready to Eat Salad Products Containing Meat and Poultry Due to Misbranding and an Undeclared Allergen
<\/strong>Ready Pac Foods, Inc.\u2019s establishments in Swedesboro, NJ and Jackson, GA, are recalling approximately 222,915 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) salad products with meat and poultry because the products contain Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated salad dressing that has been recalled by the producer, Litehouse Inc., due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The salad dressing component contains anchovies, a known allergen, which is not declared on the salad product label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The assembled ready-to-eat salads containing meat and poultry products were produced from Aug. 27, 2021 through Sept. 19, 2021. The products subject to recall may bear establishment number \u201cM-18502B\u201d, \u201cP-18502B\u201d, \u201cM-32081\u201d, or \u201cP-32081\u201d printed on the packaging next to the use by date. These items were shipped to retail and DOD locations nationwide. The problem was discovered when the firm was notified by their salad dressing supplier that a shipment of ranch salad dressing was inadvertently misbranded and may contain Caesar dressing with anchovies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
