In 2025 Daley started all 12 games for the Flashes. He recorded 51 tackles, tallied 9 tackles for loss for 27 yards, and 4 sacks for 16 yards. Daley has played in 34 games over three seasons. He has 103 career tackles including 15.5 for loss, six career sacks, four passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and an interception. 99 of his 103 career tackles came in the last two seasons. A product of Winchester, Va., Daley has one season of eligibility remaining. He was offered by Curt Cignetti and the James Madison staff as a high school prospect. He was a teammate of IU starter C.J. West at Kent State in 2023.

Daley was the highest rated defensive player for Kent State in 2024 according to PFF, with an 81.0 overall grade. He was No. 1 for the Golden Flashes in pass rush (76.3), No. 2 in run defense (76.7) and No. 2 in coverage (78). He was not a good tackler according to PFF, with a 48.7 grade. With one exception, Indiana doesn’t have a lot of proven production on the outside of its defensive line. And with All-American Mikail Kamara moving to Indiana’s stud position, Daley appears to be a contender to start or rotate at the vacated field end spot. He could also backup Kamara. Lanell Carr, Jacob Mangum-Farrar and Venson Sneed are all gone from 2024. Daley will compete with Kamara and returners Andrew Turvy, Ta’Derius Collins, Mario Landino, Daniel Ndukwe, and William Depaepe for snaps, along with freshmen Tyrone Burris and Triston Abram.

Devin Taylor’s Historic Day Leads Indiana University Baseball to a Series Win over Maryland Junior outfielder Devin Taylor has done a lot of amazing things during his three-year career with the Hoosiers. But he has never been quite as efficient as he was in Sunday’s 15-5 (F/8) win over Maryland at Bart Kaufman Field. The five-tool left fielder reached safely in all six plate appearances, working three walks and three hits. That three-hit day includes a three-run home run that brought the run-rule into effect in the rubber match against the Terrapins in the eighth inning. Since at least 2005, no IU player had ever reached base safely in every plate appearance while recording at least three hits and three walks. That was until Taylor woke up on Sunday morning. He made trip to the batter’s box count as the Hoosiers finished off the series victory over Maryland.

IU’s offense stranded a ton of runners in the first half of the ballgame but tore Maryland’s bullpen apart for 10 runs from the sixth inning through the last at-bat in the eighth inning. The Hoosiers hit five home runs, led by two from freshman first baseman Jake Hanley. The top three batters (Moore, Taylor, Dickerson) in IU’s order combined to go 9-for-12 at the plate with nine runs scored, nine RBIs and five walks. Freshman third baseman Will Moore moved into the leadoff spot for the first time in his career and reached base on five occasions. After pitching the ninth inning in Friday’s win, graduate student pitcher Ben Grable got the start on Sunday and worked four innings of one-run baseball. Sophomore southpaw Ryan Rushing and fifth-year senior pitcher Gavin Seebold combined to secure the final 12 outs that IU needed in the eight-inning win. The Hoosiers will play the next eight games away from Bloomington – beginning with a game at Victory Field in Indianapolis on Wednesday against Ball State. Conference play continues this weekend against Big Ten leaders Iowa in Iowa City.

Indiana University Women’s Golf Ties for 16th at the Big Ten Championships The Indiana women’s golf team tied for 16th at the 2025 Big Ten Championships with a 54-hole score of 904 (305-306-293; +40) played at the Bulle Rock Golf Course in Harve de Grace, Maryland. The 6-foot-6, 310-pounder appeared in five games for the Hoosiers a season ago. Barrett chose the Cyclones over finalists Oklahoma State, Louisville, Kansas State and Western Michigan, and will have three years of eligibility remaining. Barrett will join his brother Dylan, who started his career at Wisconsin before transferring to Iowa State, on the line. The addition of Barrett will help the Cyclones cushion the offensive line room after the departure of Wade and Brent Helton, who entered the portal earlier this month.
