Fatal accident in Columbus
<\/strong>The driver of a van has died after crashing thought a fence, driving though the backyard, and running into a house in Columbus, Indiana yesterday afternoon at approximately 12:30pm. The unnamed man was unresponsive at the scene, and transported to the hospital where he was later declared dead as a result of his injuries. The.re were no other injuries reported in the incident, and local Police are still investigating to determine the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloomington Parks and Recreation warns fifth national accreditation<\/strong>\u00a0
The City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department has again earned its place among the nation\u2019s top parks and recreation agencies with its fifth accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) and the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA).\u00a0For the first time since first becoming accredited in 2001, the department demonstrated 100% compliance with the 154 standards on which accreditation is based.\u00a0Bloomington Parks will be recognized for its renewed accreditation during the 2021 NRPA Annual Conference in October. CAPRA offers the only national accreditation for parks and recreation agencies, measuring an agency\u2019s overall quality of operation, management, and service to the community.\u00a0Accreditation requires an agency to demonstrate compliance with 154 recognized standards related to the management and administration of lands, facilities, resources, programs, safety, and services and to document all policies and procedures.\u00a0More information about CAPRA accreditation is available at www.nrpa.org\/CAPRA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IU vs OSU Football game sold out
<\/strong>Single-game tickets for Indiana Football’s October 23rd<\/sup> home game against Ohio State are sold out time TBD). GAMEDAY PARKING
All IU Athletics Campus parking<\/a> (which includes Gates 2-14 as well as the grass lots south of Memorial Stadium and 17th<\/sup> Street) is sold out for the Oct. 16 Michigan State game and the Oct. 23 Ohio State game. IU Athletics Campus parking options do remain available for the Nov. 13 Rutgers game and the Nov. 20 Minnesota contest. If you have not pre-purchased your parking for the Michigan State or Ohio State games, other convenient parking options will be available on the IU campus.
 
IU Athletics’ free gameday fan shuttle starts two hours before each game’s kick-off, and then resumes at the game’s conclusion for an additional 90 minutes. The shuttle’s pick-up and drop-off location is Gate 13, and it will make continuous stops at two on-campus garages that offer free parking for fans \u2013 the Poplars Garage (415 East Sixth Street) and the Henderson Parking Garage (310 South Fess Ave.). Additional parking options for fans to consider include the Luddy School Parking Garage (0.7 miles from Memorial Stadium, $30), the Fee Lane Parking Garage (0.8 miles, $30) and the Henderson Parking East Garage (1.4 miles, FREE). <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
