One of the greatest players in the history of the Indiana University women’s basketball has played her last professional game at the age of 29. Cahill spent most of her pro career in Luxembourg, along with some time in Australia. “Basketball has been great to me and provided me with so many opportunities, experiences and connections,” Cahill told the Sandusky Register. “I am getting married in August and just graduated with my master’s in social work. I thought these life transitions were prompting me to also transition away from basketball and lean more into a different career. I plan to still be around the game, but just not as a player — as a fan and maybe one day a coach.”

Cahill had a prolific Hoosiers career. She scored 1,884 points from 2014-2018, which still ranks fifth in Hoosiers history. Her 1,115 rebounds are second in IU history. Cahill also ranks eighth in steals, with 189, and tied for fifth in blocks, with 135. In Cahill’s final college game, she was a big part of Indiana’s 2018 WNIT championship. Before Indiana, Cahill was one of the best high school girl’s basketball players Ohio had ever seen. She was the Division II state player of the year as a sophomore, junior and senior at Clyde High School in northwest Ohio. She was 99-6 as a high school player, coached by her father to two state semifinal appearances while scoring more than 2,000 points with more than 1,000 rebounds. Now, Cahill is on to the next chapter of her life, with a legendary high school career in Ohio and college career at Indiana always a part of her journey.

Indy Eleven Shut Out Monterrey Bay FC 3-0 at Carroll Stadium In a commanding performance at home, Indy Eleven powered past Monterey Bay FC with a 3-0 victory, backed by a strong attacking display and a clean sheet from goalkeeper Hunter Sulte.
