Single match tickets officially went on sale Friday morning, just over a month out from the first match in Bloomington (Sept. 4 vs. SEMO) this season. The Hoosiers’ final designated home game – Thursday, Oct. 16th vs. Purdue at Gainbridge Fieldhouse – will be considered a separate event. Tickets details for that contest will be announced at a later date.

The friendly confines of Wilkinson Hall have been a safe haven for IU over the past two seasons. Head coach Steve Aird and his program have gone 21-7 (.750) in 28 contests at home since the beginning of 2023. That run of success includes back-to-back seasons of at least 10 home wins for the first time since 1999 and 2000. IU’s home slate this season begins with its annual Indiana Invitational – held on Thursday (Sept. 4) and Friday (Sept. 5) ahead of a home football weekend against Kennesaw State. The Hoosiers have a trio of fantastic programs on the docket, highlighted by a Friday night tilt with the back-to-back MAC tournament champions Western Michigan.

Washington makes its maiden journey to Bloomington for IU’s Big Ten home opener (Sept. 27). The Hoosiers have won four-straight Big Ten home openers, including a dominant 3-1 victory over Illinois on national television two seasons ago. This will be the third-straight year that IU and Washington play in volleyball but the first of those matches to take place outside the west coast. Other marquee matchups at Wilkinson Hall include visits from Minnesota (Oct. 24), Oregon (Nov. 14) and Nebraska (Nov. 22). IU has two separate four-match homestands during the conference proceedings. Eight of the final 13 matches of the season will take place in Bloomington.

Indiana Fever Make It Four Straight Wins after a Road Win against the Dallas Wings The Indiana Fever (16-12) earned an 88-78 victory over the Dallas Wings, marking the team’s fourth consecutive win, putting the team four games above .500 for the first time since June of 2015. Indiana and Dallas battled throughout the first quarter with neither side able to take a clear advantage, but seven points from Kelsey Mitchell and six from Natasha Howard tied things at 22-22. The second quarter saw the Fever out in front by six points thanks to six points from Chloe Bibby and five from Aari McDonald. The Fever finally broke out to a double-digit lead in the third quarter, in front of Dallas 70-57 after nine points from Mitchell and five from Lexie Hull. Indiana closed out the game with seven points from McDonald and five more from Mitchell to secure the 10-point victory.

For the first time since June 2015 the Indiana Fever are four games above .500. Aliyah Boston contributed five assists, surpassing Erlana Larkins for the ninth most in Fever franchise history with 322 career assists, doing so in 108 games. Boston scored 12 points, moving past Shavonte Zellous for ninth most points in Fever franchise history, now with 1,572 career points. Boston also finished the night with seven defensive rebounds, moving past NaLyssa Smith for the fourth most defensive rebounds in Fever franchise history, currently with 621 total across her career. Natasha Howard recorded her 55th career double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds, her seventh of the season. Howard has the 26th most double doubles in WNBA history. Boston recorded her 37th career double-double, ending the night with 12 points and 11 rebounds, her 13th of the season. With two offensive fouls drawn, Lexie Hull extended her lead as the league’s foremost leader in offensive fouls drawn with 28 total. Chloe Bibby recorded two three pointers made, making it her third-consecutive game to recorded multiple three pointers, the first Fever player since Katie Douglas in 2008 to do so in each of her first three games with Indiana. Indians’ pitchers struck out 19 batters, their most in a game since 19 punchouts on July 30, 2017, vs. Pawtucket. Ronny Simon opened the top of the 10th inning at second base as the automatic runner, and the Indians (21-10, 63-42) loaded the bases after Ji Hwan Bae walked, and Nick Solak reached on an infield single. That set the stage for Cook who smashed a 107-mph single to center field to score Simon and Bae. The throw to the plate was well short and missed by multiple I-Cubs (14-17, 53-52). It rolled into the dugout and enabled Solak to score a third run.

The game was full of twists and turns, with Iowa striking first with three runs in the opening frame. The rally was highlighted by a single from Kevin Alcántara and a two-run double from Ben Cowles. Indy would move to within one run, tallying a pair in the fourth, but Iowa’s lead held firm until the later stages of the game. Tsung-Che Cheng tied the game with a sacrifice fly in the sixth, and it was Cook who put the Indians in front in the seventh. With Bae aboard, Cook lined a double into the leftfield corner to advance Bae home. Cook would later score in the inning on an infield hit by Nick Yorke. The I-Cubs would force extras with one swing of the bat in the bottom of the eighth. After a leadoff walk to Cowles, James Triantos belted a two-run home run to left-center field to knot the game up at five. Cook’s big hits were just two of his three knocks on the night. He finished just a homer shy of the cycle and drove home four of the Indians’ eight runs. Solak reached base twice and extended his on-base streak to 35 games, the longest by an Indian since Chris Richard’s 46-game run from May 13-July 6,2006. Cam Sanders (W, 2-1) earned the win for Indy, covering the ninth and 10th innings, recording all six outs via strikeout in the team’s 19-punchout affair. Nate Pearson (L, 3-2) entered the game in the 10th and surrendered the winning runs.

Audrey Brinkruff and Kaleb Kolpien Claim Taylor’s University’s Top Athletic Honors Audrey Brinkruff and Kaleb Kolpien were named the winners of Taylor’s annual Natalie Steele and Gates-Howard Awards, which recognize TU’s top senior female and male student-athletes for excellence in competition, academics, character and leadership. Student-athletes are nominated for the prestigious honors and voted on by the Taylor head coaches.

Brinkruff was named the Natalie Steele Award recipient after graduating from Taylor with a 3.89 grade-point average in biology with plans to attend IU School of Medicine. The decorated student-athlete was a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Crossroads League selection, a two-time CSC Academic All-District recipient and a 2024 CSC Academic All-American. In addition to her tremendous work in the classroom, Brinkruff was an impact performer for the Taylor cross country and track programs, racing to NAIA All-American honors for cross country in 2022 and for indoor track and field in the 5,000-meters in 2024. The two-time All-American piled up six All-Crossroads League performances, highlighted by an individual CL Championship this spring in the steeplechase and departs TU with top 10 times in program history in cross country, the outdoor 5,000-meters and the steeplechase. “Audrey had a special collegiate career and developed into quite a special runner with a wonderful breakout race for us at our NAIA National Championship effort in 2022,” said TU head cross country coach Quinn White. “Audrey has exceptional perseverance and has used that to succeed in both athletics and academics. Most importantly, Audrey uses her gifts to honor the Lord.”

Kolpien was selected as the Gates-Howard Award recipient after graduating from TU with a 3.72 grade-point average in management. While making headlines with his productive lefty swing at the plate, Kolpien did strong work in the classroom as well, earning CSC Academic All-American accolades in 2023 and 2025, while also claiming a pair of NAIA Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Crossroads League honors. Kolpien closed his time in Upland with NAIA All-American and Crossroad League Player-of-the-Year nods, as well as a fourth-straight All-CL selection. While powering the Trojan lineup to 40-plus wins and a CL Championship in each of his four seasons, Kolpien rapped out a program-record 98 hits in 2023 and 2025, and graduated as the program’s all-time hits leader with 327 knocks, while ranking top-three in TU history in batting average (.406), on-base percentage (.492), slugging percentage (.588), runs (215) and doubles (64). “I am so happy to see Kaleb recognized with this prestigious award,” stated TU head baseball coach Kyle Gould. “He is the epitome of what a Taylor student-athlete should be about.
