The Indiana High School Athletic Association was busy Sunday Evening as they announced the Parings for the upcoming Softball, Baseball and Boys Volleyball State Tournaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boys Volleyball went first as 136 teams will compete in the second annual tournament as Roncalli looks to repeat as State Champions. The Sectionals will start on May 12 and continue through May 16, at 16 Sites around the State. The Regionals are May 23rd at 4 Sites with Semifinals and Finals. The State Finals will be held on May 30th at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis with the Semifinals at 11 AM and 1 PM and the Championship Game at 6 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bloomington South and Bloomington North are in a seven team Sectional at Martinsville. Bloomington South will play Martinsville in the Second Game on Thursday Night with the winner of that game facing the winner of the first game Thursday Night between Evansville Memorial and Terre Haute South in the Second Semifinal on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bloomington North who is competing in its first season will play in the first Semifinal on Saturday against the winner of the Terre Haute North and Evansville Retiz that will take place on Wednesday with the Championship game on Saturday Evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Winner moves on to the Perry Meridian Regional where they will face the Winner of the Franklin Central Sectional in the first Semifinal followed by the winners of the Franklin and Jeffersonville Sectionals meeting in the second final with the Championship Game scheduled for that evening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Softball was up next as 365 teams will compete in the 41st annual State Tournament that will get underway with Sectionals starting May 25, and running through May 30. The one game Regional is June 2 with the Two Game Semi State on June 6, with four State champions being crowned on June 12-13 at Purdue University’s Bittinger Stadium in West Lafayette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Class 4A Sectional 13 at Bloomington North. Terre Haute South and Bloomington South will open the sectional with the winner taking on Martinsville in the Second Semifinal. The first Semifinal will be Bloomington North and Terre Haute North with the winners advancing to the championship game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Winner of the Sectional will travel to the Winner of the Whiteland Sectional for the Regional Championship and Semi State will be held at Bedford North Lawrence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Class 3A Sectional 27 at Cascade. Edgewood and Speedway will meet in the first game followed by Cascade taking on Owen Valley. The Edgewood\/Speedway winner will face Northview in the First Semifinal followed by Indianapolis George Washington taking on the Cascade\/Owen Valley winner in the second semifinal with the winners advancing to the championship game. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Winner of the Sectional will travel to the winner of the Indian Creek Sectional for the Regional Championship Game and the Semi State will be held at Jasper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baseball got its turn as 381 teams will compete in the 59th annual State Tournament that starts with Sectionals on May 27, and continues through June 1. Two Regional Championship Games will be played in Doubleheader Format on June 6 with the Two Game Semi State on June 13. Four State Champions will be crowned at Victory Field in Downtown Indianapolis on June 19-20. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Class 4A Sectional 13 at Bloomington North. Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South will face off in the opening game with the winner taking on Bloomington North in the second semifinal. Martinsville and Bloomington South will meet in the first semifinal with the winners meeting the championship game. The Sectional winner will take on the winner of the Columbus North Sectional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Class 3A Sectional 27 at Northview. Cascade will face Edgewood in the opener followed by Northview taking on Indianapolis George Washington in the second games. The winners will meet in the first semifinal with Owen Valley facing Speedway in the second semifinal. The winners will meet in the Championship Game. The Sectional Winner will take on the winner of the Roncalli Sectional. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are eight Regional sites in southern half of the state that teams will be assigned to once the Sectionals are complete. The sites are Center Grove, Mooresville, Jennings County, Evansville Reitz, Jasper, Floyd Central, Mitchell and Plainfield. The Four Semi States will be held at Mitchell, Plainfield, The University of Evansville which will be hosted by Castle and Jasper. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
