\u00a0 For the second time in the last three years the Jasper National Little League from Jasper Indiana will represent the State in the Little League Baseball Great Lakes Tournament in Whitestown Indiana with a chance to advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport Pennsylvania which starts August 19 and runs through August 30.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Five State Champions from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio will battle it out for the Great Lakes Regional Title. The Tournament takes place at the Central Region Headquarters in Whitestown located at 7185 S Indianapolis Road and admission is free to all games. Whitestown is just South of Lebanon right off Interstate 65. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tournament kicks off Saturday with Greater Bay Little League from Bay City Michigan taking on West Side Little League from Hamilton Ohio at 10 AM followed by Burbank American Little League from Burbank Illinois taking on The North Oldham Little League from La Grange Kentucky at 7; PM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jasper National will play Sunday at 4::30 PM against the winner of Game 1 while the losers of game 1 and 2 face off at 7:30 PM. The Tournament is a double elimination format. Games are scheduled for Monday at 1 and 7 PM with the evening game on ESPN. There is one game Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM and the Championship Game is Wednesday Night at 7 PM on ESPN2. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jasper beat Brownsburg 7-5 in the State Championship Game on July 28 at Rieke Park in Auburn to advance to the Great Lakes Regional Tournament Jasper was one of 10 teams from around the State to compete in the State Tournament. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jasper beat Munster 4-1 in 2024 to advance to the Great Lakes Regional which is only time Jasper National has played in the State Championship Game. The Jasper Little League Lost to the Time Corners Little League from Fort Wayne in the 1991 State Championship Game 5-4. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brownsburg won the State Title in 2025 and has been one of the powerhouses in Little League Baseball for a long time winning four State Titles from 1999-2002. Brownsburg lost in 2008 and 2019 before winning their fifth state title in 2021 and sixth in 2025. Brownsburg want to the Little League World Series in 1999 and 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jasper National made it to the Great Lakes Regional Championship game in. 2024 losing to Hinsdale Illinois 8-7 in 8 innings. The last time a team from Indiana made to Williamsport was the Hagerstown Little League in 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 17 Teams from the State of Indiana have made it to Williamsport with two teams making it to the World Championship Game the Anderson Little League from Gary in 1971 and the Edison Little League from Hammond in 1972. Illinois has won the last two Great Lakes Region Tournaments with Clarendon Hills advancing a year ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
North Oldham made it to Williamsport in 2011, and they are looking to be the first Kentucky Team to make it since 2019. West Side Little a League has been to Williamsport five times in 1991, 1993, 2007, 2010 and were runners up in 2021 and Ohio Last had a representative in 2023 with New Albany. Michigan is looking for its first trip to Williamsport since 2021 when the Taylor North Little League won it all. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
