He announced his commitment in front of friends and family at his high school.  The 6-foot-4 Mohler attends Austin H.S. in Austin, Indiana.  The Southern Indiana sophomore grew up an IU basketball fan.\u00a0 He also had offers from Purdue and several mid-majors.  As a freshman at Austin, Mohler averaged 21.5 points per game and led Austin to a Class 2A regional win. For travel basketball Mohler played for the Midwest Basketball Club on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.\u00a0 He averaged 19.8 points and 8.9 rebounds per game over the spring and summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indiana University Men&#8217;s Soccer Player Oliver Moller-Jensen Earns Second Big Ten Honor<\/strong>                                                                                                            Indiana men&#8217;s soccer forward Oliver Moller-Jensen was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference office announced on Tuesday.  Moller-Jensen totaled three goals and two assists last week in a pair of victories. He leads the Hoosiers with 10 goals and 24 points this season.   Moller-Jensen led Indiana to a 3-1 comeback victory over Kentucky, scoring IU&#8217;s tying and winning goals. The performance marked his third brace of the season.  On Friday, Moller-Jensen celebrated senior night with one goal and two assists against Hanover College. With his second assist \u2013 coming before the goal \u2013 Moller-Jensen eclipsed the 50-career points milestone.  After a pair of non-conference matches, Indiana returns to Big Ten Conference play Friday (Oct. 16) at Rutgers. The Hoosiers currently sit tied with Michigan State atop the league table, holding a game in hand on the Spartans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indiana University Wrestler Orlando Cruz to Compete for Puerto Rico at the U23 World Championships<\/strong>                                                                                    <strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Fourth year Indiana wrestler Orlando Cruz will take the next step in his international career as he competes in the United World Wrestling&#8217;s U23 World Championships this weekend. Cruz will represent Puerto Rico and wrestle at 79 kg in freestyle.  The championships will take place from Oct. 12-18 with all of Cruz&#8217;s competition going on during Oct. 17-18.  The championships begin Monday with Greco-Roman competition, followed by women&#8217;s freestyle and men&#8217;s freestyle later in the week. Men&#8217;s freestyle begins Friday, Oct. 16, with the 79 kg weight class starting Saturday (Oct. 17).  Earlier this year, Cruz competed at the U23 Pan-American Championships in Lima, Peru, where he reached the championship match at 79 kg and earned a silver medal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Seven Indiana Hoosiers Feature in USA Diving National Team<\/strong>                                                                                                                                                                   Seven members of the Indiana swimming and diving program featured in the USA Diving National Team, announced by the sport&#8217;s governing body last week. Hoosiers make up seven of the 27 national team members.  The team includes three alumni \u2013 Quinn Henninger, Carson Tyler and Maxwell Weinrich \u2013 as well as five divers on the current collegiate roster: Josh Hedberg, Ella Roselli, Joshua Sollenberger, Carson Tyler and Lily Witte. Anderson was a force at the net in the key Crossroads League victory for the Trojans, collecting eight blocks, including a pair of solo blocks. The middle\u2019s presence at the net helped hold the Wildcats to a .119 hitting percentage overall and a paltry -.065 mark in the opening set when Anderson notched half of her blocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to her defense, Anderson was fantastic offensively this past week, notching 17 kills and a .414 hitting percentage collecting 22.5 points in the two wins, second most on the squad.  The Newark, Ohio native currently leads the NAIA in total blocks with 117 and is 15th in blocks per set at 1.24. The sophomore also sits in fifth in the CL with a hitting percentage of .317. Anderson has been named CL Defender of the week twice this season and four times in her collegiate career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Trojans volleyball program has accounted for nine CL Athlete of the week honors in 2026, the most for the program since picking up 18 during the CL Championship season in 2022.  TU Athletics has now collected 22 Crossroads League and MSFA Mideast League Player of the Week honors this fall, along with one NAIA National Player of the Week award.  No. 12 Taylor (21-5, 9-2 CL) continues Crossroads League this evening with a home matchup against Saint Francis (7-16, 3-8 CL) at 7:00 pm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Taylor University Softball Set to Host a Pair of Hitting Clinics<\/strong>                                                                                                                                                               The Taylor softball program is hosting a pair of hitting clinics this fall inside Stillman Field House on Saturday, November 14th and Saturday, December 5th. \u00a0The clinics will focus on helping campers become more confident and complete hitters. Campers will work through a variety of hitting drills and compete in live at bats while receiving personalized feedback from head coach Grace Glidewell and current Taylor softball players using HitTrax data analysis.  Cost for each clinic is $60 and is for girls grades 9-12. The clinic will run from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.  For additional information on the camp, please contact Grace\u00a0at 765-998-4748, or via email at grace_glidewell@taylor.edu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Taylor University Football Remains in Receiving Votes Portion of Top-25 Poll<\/strong>                                                                                                                           Following its 52-14 Homecoming win over Saint Mary of the Woods, the Taylor football team continued to receive votes in the newest NAIA Top-25 Poll.  The Trojans were among a group of seven teams to receive votes just outside of the Top-25, maintaining their status in the national spotlight.  TU\u2019s 52 points scored and 38-point margin of victory both marked season-highs, while its 14 points allowed marked a fourth-straight game of holding foes below the 30-point barrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In those last four games, Taylor has allowed just 16.0 points and 321.3 total yards of offense per game. Those averages would rate TU at No. 17 in the NAIA in scoring defense and No. 29 in total defense over a full-year pace.  For the season, the Trojans have still leaned on their offense for success, with the ground game being the driving force. TU ranks No. 11 in the NAIA with 236.3 rushing yards per game and No. 19 with 443.0 total yards of offense per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jedidiah Galvin leads the way with 111.3 rushing yards per game this season and ranks No. 11 in the NAIA in that statistic. Galvin\u2019s backfield mate, Evan Barker, has also played well and leads the squad with eight rushing touchdowns. The improved TU defense has been led by linebackers Samuel Ringer, Maverick Brown and Grady Stanley. The trio has combined for 17.3 tackles per game to anchor the Purple and Gray.
