IU shot an 840 (278-282-280; -24) at the Medinah Country Club. The team triumph is the second under head coach Brian May (2024 Big Ten Championships). In five seasons at the helm, May has guided the Hoosiers to seven team finishes inside the top three. Eleanor Schuitema finished near the top of the leaderboard once again, shooting rounds of 74, 67 and 78 to end in third place with a 54-hole tally of 219. The performance was Schuitema’s third-straight time shooting between 217 and 219 and her round of 67 marked a third-straight tournament with a new personal-best round. Presley White opened with consecutive rounds of 76 and finished in 11th at 237, with Sophia Stanton taking 13th, Elyse Swanson ending in 16th and Sam Lemieux finishing in 18th. The No. 20 Trojans finished Monday’s action within 10 strokes of No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan and four shots back of No. 5 Marian but faltered over Tuesday’s final round. TU shot a 320 over its final 18 holes to lose pace and settled for a third place showing at the eight-team event. The Trojans finished the fall with top three efforts in all but one of their four tournaments.

Taylor University Men’s Golf Continue Strong Fall Campaign A late change to the schedule sent the Taylor men’s golf team south to compete in the Gibson Bay Invitational and the Trojans topped No. 4 Lindsey Wilson to come home with a runner-up team finish. The second-place showing was another strong performance for the unranked Trojans in what has been a tremendous fall campaign. TU has finished first or second in each of its four tournaments, while shooting per-or-better in six of its last eight rounds. Taylor accomplished that feat twice on Monday on the opening day of the tournament, firing rounds of 285 and 288 to sit at three-under par and in second place. TU finished off its runner-up finish at the 10-team event with a 291 on Tuesday to end at even-par for the tournament. TU’s score of 864 put the Trojans 15 strokes back of No. 22 Cumberlands for the team title and 11 shots ahead of No. 4 Lindsey Wilson.

All five Trojans finished inside the top-20, with Porter Dick tying for second and Aaron Fulda ending in sixth to lead the way. Dick led TU for the first time this fall with a personal-best round of 68 sandwiched by even-par performances to finish at four-under 212. Fulda shot 72, 72, 71 for a 215 (-1) to claim his third top-10 effort in as many fall events and logged the fourth, fifth and sixth rounds of par-or-better in his nine rounds played this fall. Davis Formsma, Hayden Fox and Tanner Conklin rounded out the lineup with finishes of 12th, 16th and 18th. The Indiana Pacers All-Star scored 24 points in the first half alone during Tuesday night’s overtime loss to the Thunder. This was Haliburton’s first trip to OKC since tearing his Achilles in Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals. Last season, Haliburton skipped the trip with the team, saying he didn’t want to return until he was fully healthy. 478 days, one surgery and one battle with shingles later, Haliburton was greeted with warm applause from the Thunder’s home crowd as he was announced during starting lineups of Tuesday’s preseason game.

He quickly made his first bucket two minutes into the game and was unstoppable from there. After 10 minutes on the floor, Haliburton had racked up 19 points. He made nine of 14 field goal attempts with three assists and three rebounds. Three of his four triples came in the first quarter, including a wide-open look from 34 feet. Haliburton only played in the first half of the preseason match, which the Pacers ultimately lost to the Thunder in overtime, 114-112. Four other Pacers finished in double digits. Center Ivica Zubac scored the second-most with 13 points, while Kelly Oubre Jr., Jay Huff and Kobe Brown each had 12, 11 and 10, respectively. Zubac’s also added 13 rebounds to his night.
