Big Ten Conference announces future sites for championship events<\/strong>
The Big Ten Conference announced today that the Big Ten Football Championship Game will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis through 2024. Additionally, the 2023 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, along with the 2024 Big Ten Women’s and Men’s Basketball Tournaments, will be held at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium will be the site of the Big Ten Football Championship Game through 2024, with the venue having hosted the event since its inception in 2011. Nearly 700,000 fans have attended the Big Ten Football Championship Game, including a record 67,183 fans in 2021, which marked the third-largest football crowd in building history, behind only Super Bowl XLVI and the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship. Michigan claimed its first Big Ten Football Championship Game victory in 2021 to become the fifth different school to win the contest.

The 2023 Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament will mark the first time that the event has been held outside of Indianapolis since 2015, when the tournament took place in Hoffman Estates, Ill., outside Chicago. Eight different Big Ten teams have claimed the tournament title including Iowa, which won its fourth crown in 2022. More than 860,000 fans have attended the women’s tournament since 1995.

The Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament has been held in four different cities over the past six seasons, including Washington, D.C. (2017), New York City (2018), Chicago (2019), and Indianapolis (2020-22). The 2024 tournament will mark the fifth different city to host the event since the inaugural tournament in 1998. Seven Big Ten programs have won the tournament since its debut in 1998, including Iowa claiming its third title in 2022. More than 2.3 million fans have attended the event throughout its history. It was previously announced that the 2023 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held at the United Center in Chicago.

Indiana University Baseball wins at Cincinnati 11-4<\/strong>
The Indiana Baseball Team got a road win Wednesday night 11-4 at Cincinnati. The Hoosiers had 9 hits, 10 RBI\u2019s and two doubles. Brock Tibbitts, Carter Mathison and Tyler Doanes hit home runs for IU. The Hoosiers were walked 9 times, 2 hit by a pitch and 6 struck out. The Hoosiers scored 2 runs in the top of the 2nd<\/sup>, 2 in the top of the 4th<\/sup>, 4 in the top of the 5th<\/sup> and 3 in the top of the 9th<\/sup>. 9 Hoosiers were left on base. The Hoosiers improve to 14-22 on the season. Indiana is 22-12 all time against Cincinnati. This was the 13th meeting since 2009 between the two teams. Indiana is back in action Tomorrow night when they host Nebraska at Bart Kaufman Field with a 7pm first pitch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cincinnati had 8 hits, 4 RBI\u2019s, a double, a triple, and home run by Griffin Merritt. Cincinnati batters were walked 7 times, 1 hit by pitch and struck out 7 times. The Bearcats committed three errors. Cincinnati scored 1 in the bottom of the first, 1 in the bottom of the 8th <\/sup>and two in the bottom of the 9th. The Bearcats fall to 16-19 on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indiana University Softball falls to Louisiana 11-2<\/strong>
In the first ever Softball meeting between Louisiana and Indiana the Ragin Cajuns beat the Hoosiers 11-2 in six Innings at Andy Mohr Field Wednesday Afternoon. Louisiana pounded out 12 hits, 9 RBI\u2019s, 2 Home Runs, 4 Doubles and a triple. Louisiana batters were walked 4 times and struck out twice. The Ragin Cajuns scored three runs in the top of the first inning and did not look back scoring a run in every inning but the fifth. Louisiana improves to 32-10 on the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indiana managed just 2 hits from Grayson Radcliffe and Brooke Benson who hit a two-run homer to score herself and Aaliyah Andrews in the Bottom of the Third Inning. The Hoosiers were struck out 7 times and Brianna Copeland got the only free pass for IU. Indiana is 23-14 on the season and hosts Northwestern in a three-game series beginning Friday at 6 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indiana University Water Polo travels to MPSF Tournament in Los Angeles<\/strong>
Sixth Seed Indiana Water Polo will face Third Seed UCLA in the First Round of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Water Polo Tournament at 3:4pm Eastern Time tomorrow afternoon at the Uytengsu Aquatic Center on the USC Campus in Los Angeles California. The Hoosiers are 14-14 on the season and lost to the Bruins 12-6 on January 29th<\/sup>, at the Michigan Invitational.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Second Seed Stanford will take on Seventh seed San Jose State at 2 pm Eastern time with Fourth Seed California taking on Fifth Seed Arizona State at 5:30 pm Eastern time. The losers of the first two games will play Saturday at 2 pm with the Loser of that game will finish 7th<\/sup> place in the tournament.  The First Semifinal will be the winners of the first two games at 3:45 pm. The California-Arizona State winner will face Top Seed USC at 5:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday the 5th<\/sup> place game starts at 2pm with the 3rd<\/sup> place game at 3:45 and The Championship Game at 5:30 pm. The Winner gets the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament in May that will be held in Ann Arbor Michigan.

Indians Snap Four Game Losing Streak With 5-3 win Over Columbus \u00a0<\/u><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Indianapolis Indians snapped a four-game losing streak Wednesday Afternoon taking down the Columbus Clippers 5-3 at Victory Field in Indianapolis and improved to 7-6 on the season. The Indians had 7 hits and one error as Anthony Alford launched the first home run of his rehab assignment, Canaan Smith-Njigba roped a go-ahead two-run single, and Cal Mitchell went 3-for-4 to lead the Indians. Columbus falls to 10-4 on the season. These teams meet at 12:05 this afternoon for game 3 of the six-game series. \u00a0The Indians made two roster changes Wednesday Left-Handed Pitcher Trey McGough has been\u00a0reinstated from 7-day Injured List and Left-Handed Pitcher Blake Weiman\u00a0placed on development list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
