The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market is open on Saturday mornings for the 2021 Market season. Use of face coverings and physical distancing is required.
The Griffy Lake Boathouse is open daily from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.. Watercraft rentals are available by reservation only.
Bryan Park Pool and Mills Pool are scheduled to open Saturday, May 29, 2021.
The annual Children’s Expo is scheduled for Saturday, July 24 at Switchyard Park.
The annual 50+ Expo, is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Switchyard Park.
The Twin Lakes Recreation Center is accepting day use passes and applications for memberships; court and turf rentals resume with no spectators.
Cascades Golf Course is open, with precautions in place. Tee times must be reserved in advance; to reserve a tee time, call (812) 349-3764 or reserve a tee time online
Endwright East Community Center in College Mall is open Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with space for health & wellness education, group exercise offerings, and social programming. Visit the Endwright East website at http:\/\/area10agency.org\/endwright\/.
Allison-Jukebox Community Center is open for room rentals that adhere to maximum gathering sizes only, and for Kid City Summer Camps.
Banneker Community Center is not open for drop-in visits; however, you can reserve a time and space in the building for gatherings, preschool play, use of the gym, and more. Use our online form to reserve a room at Banneker on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indiana State Police Seeks Recruits for Capitol Police Section<\/strong>
The Indiana State Police Capitol Police Section is now accepting applications. Individuals who are interested in beginning a rewarding career as a Capitol Police Officer may apply online at\u00a0http:\/\/www.in.gov\/isp\/2367.htm<\/a>.\u00a0 This website will provide a detailed synopsis of the application process as well as information on additional career opportunities with the Indiana State Police Department. Basic Eligibility Requirements and consideration factors for a Capitol Police Officer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Must be a United States citizen.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    1. Must be at least 21 years of age when appointed as a police employee.<\/li>
    2. Must meet a minimum vision standard (corrected or uncorrected) of 20\/50 acuity in each eye and 20\/50 distant binocular acuity in both eyes.<\/li>
    3. Must possess a valid driver’s license to operate an automobile.<\/li>
    4. Must be a high school graduate as evidenced by a diploma or general equivalency diploma<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The academy begins on August 30, 2021. The starting salary for a Capitol Police Section Probationary Officer is $44,497.00 a year. The Indiana State Police Capitol Police Section also offers an excellent health care plan, which includes medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy coverage for both current and retired employees along with their families.  The State maintains short-term and long-term disability plans for full time employees after six (6) months of continuous employment.  As an Indiana State Police Capitol Police Officer, you are automatically enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement Fund (PERF).  The State will contribute to your retirement account.
