MCCSC ends contract with superintendent<\/strong>
Monroe County Community Schools will part way with their Superintendent at the conclusion of the 2023-24 school year. The two parties have announced that they have agreed to buyout terms for Superintendent Jeff Hauswald\u2019s remaining year on his contract. The financial details have not yet been made public, nor has a reason for the parting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has not been a secret, however, that the Superintendent and the Board have not necessarily see eye-to-eye on a number of matters over the past 2 and a half years, since Hauswald has been in office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most recently, Hauswald has gone against massive public opposition to his plan to align all of the high school schedules, as if education in Monroe County requires a one-sized-fits-all model. Additionally, there has been controversy revolving around a non-competitive contract Hauswald signed with the Democrat candidate for Indiana Governor for which the district has not revealed any details, apparently due to the Family Education Privacy Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update on Former Clark County Sheriff’s Arrest on 15 Felony charges\u00a0
<\/strong>As a result of this ongoing criminal investigation by the Indiana State Police Field Investigations, Detectives provided updated information and evidence to Special Prosecutor Richard J. Hertel, who filed for additional criminal charges against Jamey Noel, and for criminal charges against his wife, Misty Noel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late last week, both Jamey and Misty Noel appeared in the Clark County Circuit Court with their family and legal representation.\u00a0 After being presented with the criminal charges, Misty Noel turned herself into the custody of the Clark County Detention Center where she was booked in before being transported to the Scott County Detention Center for incarceration.\u00a0She is going to be held without bond until her initial court appearance on Monday, February 5, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
