Hoosier Hysteria Set for October 2nd

Indiana Men’s and Women’s Basketball team will host Hoosier Hysteria on Saturday October 2nd. This will be the first time that Hoosier Nation gets to see the 2021-22 Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams in person to kickoff the college basketball season. The event is free and fans are asked to bring canned food item to be donated to the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. The Time will be announced at later as the Indiana Football plays at Penn State the same day.

High School Football Kicks Off the Regular Season Tonight

Week 1 Of the High School Football Regular Season kicks off tonight with all three Monroe County teams at home. Bloomington North Host Greenwood as the Cougars are coming off 5-5 season and a lost to Castle in the Class 5A Sectional Championship Game. Bloomington South host New Albany as the Panthers are coming off a 4-4 season and lost to Castle in the Class 5A sectional semifinals. Edgewood host Mitchell as Caleb True takes over the reigns as Mustang’s head coach. Edgewood finished 4-7 a year ago and lost to at Princeton in the sectional semifinals.  The Edgewood and Bloomington North Games will kick off at 7 PM with Bloomington South Kicking off at 7:30 PM.

Indiana Women’s Soccer Kicks Off 2021 Fall Season with Win Over Valparaiso

The Indiana Women’s Soccer Team kicked off the 2021 Fall Season with a 1-0 win over Valparaiso Thursday Night at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Jordyn Levy scored at 69:41 with the assist going to Camille Hamm. Freshman Jamie Gesternberg posted the shutout with 2 saves in goal and her first ever game as Indiana Hoosier. The Hoosiers are back in action this Sunday when they travel to Norte Dame to face the Irish for a 4 PM showdown.  

Former Hoosier Romeo Langford and Boston Celtics Finish Runner Up in NBA Summer League

Former Indiana University Men’s Basketball Player Romeo Langford and the Boston Celtics finished up in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The Celtics lost to the Sacramento Kings 100-67 in the championship game in which Langford did not appear. The Celtics were 4-1 and Langford played in three games, averaged 11 points per game, 3.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He was 11-25 from the floor for 44.0 percent, 5-13 from the three-point line for 38.4 percent, 6-9 from the free throw line for 66.7 percent in 78 minutes of action. Langford is entering his 3rd season in the NBA and played one season at IU from 2018-19 and was the 14th pick of the Boston Celtics in the 2019 NBA Draft.
