Indiana and Norte Dame Women’s Soccer Fight to 0-0 Draw

Indiana and Norte Dame Women’s Soccer played to 0-0 draw in South Bend Sunday Afternoon. It’s the first time in 12 meetings that Hoosiers have tied the Irish. Norte Dame led the all-time series 11-0 coming into the match. Freshman Jamie Gerstenberg gets her 2nd career shutout with 3 saves. The true freshman from Germany has established herself as top goalkeeper in a short time on campus. Sophomore Gabbi Rennie who played for New Zealand in the Tokyo Olympics saw her first action of the season with 22 minutes off the bench. Indiana is 1-0-1 on the season and will host Tennessee-Martin at 7 PM on Thursday at Bill Armstrong Stadium.

Indiana Men’s Soccer Wins Exhibitions over Wright State and Louisville

Indiana Men’s Soccer beat Wright State 4-2 and Louisville 5-4 to finish the fall exhibition season 2-0-1 after 0-0 draw with DePaul. Victor Bazerra scored 5 goals in the 2 games. He had 2 vs Wright State and 3 vs Louisville and was MAC Hermann Trophy runner up in the spring. Maouloune Gumballe scored twice against Wright State. Joey Maher and Tommy Mihalic scored against Louisville. The Hoosiers scored nine goals to the opponents six. Indiana will open the regular season this Friday when they travel to Norte Dame to face the Fighting Irish in a 7 pm Kickoff. The Hoosiers open the home season next Tuesday against Butler at 8 PM.

Indiana Softball Announces Fall Ball Schedule

Indiana Softball has announced 8 game fall softball schedule. The Hoosiers will play September 26th in Chicago against Illinois Chicago at 1 PM Eastern and Bryant and Stratton at 3:30 PM Eastern time. The Hoosiers will host Louisville in Doubleheader October 2nd at 1 pm. The Hoosiers host Lakeland College in Doubleheader October 3rd at 12 PM. Indiana will travel to Southern Indiana in Evansville for 7 PM Eastern Time first pitch October 8th and will host Danville Area Community College at 5 PM October 9th matchup.  

Former Indiana Running Back Stevie Scott III Signs with Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos signed former Indiana University Running Back Stevie Scott III. Scott went undrafted and signed with the New Orleans Saints before being released. Scott rushed 562 times for 2,543 yards and 30 touchdowns. In his 3 years at Indiana, Scott averaged 4.5 yards per carry and caught 55 passes for 383 yards and 2 touchdowns.
