Report Indicates Indiana University Men’s Basketball Will Host Milwaukee in Early November One of Darian DeVries’ first games as IU basketball head coach will include a home game against Milwaukee. That’s according to a report by Rocco Miller, who says Indiana, Milwaukee, Marquette and Little Rock are all part of a Multi-Team Event in which they will each play two games. As previously reported, the Hoosiers will also face Marquette in Chicago in early November as their other game in the MTE.
Milwaukee was 21-11 last season and No. 141 according to KenPom. They were 14-6 and tied for second place in the Horizon League under head coach Bart Lundy, who is entering his fourth season leading the program after signing a new contract extension. The Panthers have won at least 20 games each of the last three seasons under his direction. Lundy’s Milwaukee teams are known for their up-tempo approach on the offensive end. His offense finished with top 5 entries in the school’s record books in scoring average (78.4 ppg), total points (2,510), field-goal percentage (.468), field goals made (907), and field goals attempted (1,939) last season. The team finished first in the NCAA in fastbreak points with 18.4 per game as the team embraced Lundy’s “Tilt The Floor” motto. The Panthers also set a program record in rebounds per game at 39.2 to rank No. 21 in the nation, helping Milwaukee place second in the NCAA in rebound margin at +9.3.
Gone are Milwaukee’s two most productive players from last season, Themus Fulks and Jamichael Stillwell, both of whom transferred to Central Florida. Some of the players expected to lead the way for Milwaukee in 2025-26 are 6-foot-7 forward Chandler Jackson (17 ppg at Parkland College); 6-foot guard Isaiah Dorceus (14.5 ppg at Daytona State); 6-foot-4 guard Seth Hubbard (8.4 ppg for Toledo); 6-foot-10 center Faizon Fields (6.7 ppg); 6-foot-8 forward Danilo Jovanovich (5.3 ppg at Milwaukee); and 6-foot-8 wing John Lovelace (4.5 ppg at Milwaukee). In Bart Torvik’s preseason projections Milwaukee is ranked No. 235 nationally. In addition to Milwaukee and Marquette, Indiana will play Louisville in Indianapolis and Kentucky in Lexington as part of their 11-game nonconference slate. The other seven games have not been revealed.

Big Ten Announces Conference Baseball Opponents for the 2026 Season Each of the 17 baseball programs in the Big Ten learned their conference dates and opponents this month for the 2026 season. For the second-straight year, each team will play 10 league weekends with an additional series against a non-conference opponent worked in the 11-week slate. During next year’s campaign, head coach Jeff Mercer and the Hoosiers will face all six schools they didn’t play in 2025. The only holdover opponents are regionally protected rivalries against Illinois and Purdue as well as series against Maryland and Iowa.
After facing the two Los Angeles schools in their debut season, IU will meet Washington and Oregon in 2026 for the first time as Big Ten foes. The Hoosiers host Washington in Bloomington (March 6-8) to open the conference slate before making the trip to Eugene (March 13-15) for the first weekend meeting all-time against the Ducks. Minnesota (March 20-22) comes to town for the first time since 2022 before IU heads back to Lincoln to face Nebraska (March 27-29) for the second time in three years. Home weekends against Rutgers (April 3-5) and Iowa (24-26) highlight the April slate. IU will head to Maryland (April 10-12) to face a familiar foe in its only road conference series of the month.
IU’s bye weekend during the 11-week stretch of conference play comes from April 17-19. Last season, IU’s bye weekend came at the beginning of May and featured a three-game sweep at Abilene Christian. If IU were to play at home next season – it would give Mercer and the Hoosiers three home weekends in April. May features a trio of regional rivalries – including back-to-back weekends at Northwestern (May 1-3) and Purdue (May 8-10). The Hoosiers close the 2026 regular season with an annual series against Illinois (May 14-16). The Big Ten Tournament in Omaha is set to be played from May 19-24. The rest of the 56-game regular season schedule will be released this fall.
