
#2 Indiana University Football looking to Finish the Home Season Unbeaten for the Second Year in a Row The #2 Indiana Hoosiers will honor 28 seniors ahead of tomorrow’s Noon Kickoff with the Wisconsin Badgers on Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium with television coverage on the Big Ten Network. Indiana is 14-0 at home since Curt Cignetti has arrived in Bloomington and the Hoosiers are looking to keep that home winning streak alive. The Hoosiers are 10-0 overall and 7-0 in the Big Ten for the second consecutive season which has never happen before in program history. The Hoosiers are coming off an 27-24 win at Penn State last week snapping a 13-game losing streak at Beaver Stadium for the Hoosiers first ever win at Beaver Stadium. Fernando Mendoza found Omar Cooper Jr. In the back of the end zone with 36 seconds left to give the Hoosiers the lead and one of the most memorable catches ever that not only Hoosier fans will remember but sports fans on general as Cooper Jr got one foot down in bounds to give the Hoosiers the victory. The final scoring drive was the programs first go-ahead touchdown drive starting with 2:00 or under in regulation since Antwaan Randle-El scored a rushing touchdown vs Iowa on October 17,1998.
The Hoosiers remain #2 for the fourth straight week in both polls and #2 in the CFP Rankings for the second week in a row as Indiana has an overall record 41-27-1 as a ranked team and 34-20-1 in Big Ten Play. The Hoosiers are 21-2 under Curt Cignetti and 15-1 in the Big Ten. Indiana scored two rushing touchdowns against Penn State which marked the 19th time under Curt Cignetti that the Hoosiers have rushed for multiple touchdowns. The Hoosiers have rushing attack led by the trio of Roman Hemby, Kaelon Black and Khobie Martin who have carried the ball for a combined 1,688 yards and 15 touchdowns with 297 carries. The Hoosiers defense forced multiple turnovers for the third straight time and the sixth game this season as the Hoosiers had an Interception and a fumble recovery both by Aiden Fisher became the first Hoosier to do both since 2022. Louis Moore leads the Hoosiers with 46 solo tackles followed by Rolijah Hardy 34 and Fisher with 33.
Jamari Sharpe forced the fumble that Fisher recovered and has forced a fumble in back-to-back weeks and ranks fourth nationally with four forced fumbles this season. Hardy had his second career double digit tackle game against Penn State with 12 tackles and a sack. Hardy lead the team with 6 sacks along with 5.5 sacks from Tyrique Tucker and 5 sacks from Isaiah Jones who leads the Big Ten with 12 tackles for loss and has at least 0.5 tackles for loss in 9 of 10 games. Fernando Mendoza leads the Big Ten with 26 passing touchdowns and tied with Sawyer Robertson of Baylor for the most in FBS. Mendoza has completed 71 % of his passes throwing for 2,342 yards completing 181 of his 254 attempts along with 5 Interceptions and sacked 10 times. Mendoza has been getting done on the ground with 56 carries for 240 yards and 5 touchdowns. Younger brother Alberto has completed 15 of his 21 passes for 204 yards for 4 touchdowns and 1 Interception and has carried the ball 8 times for 123 yards and a touchdown.
Elijah Sarratt 10 Receiving touchdowns is tied for first in the Big Ten and Omar Cooper Jr has 9 which is second. Copper Jr has 52 catches for 701 yards. Sarratt has 45 catches for 609 yards but missed the Penn State with a hamstring injury and is day to day. E.J Williams Jr has 28 receptions for 252 yards and 5 touchdowns, and Jonathan Brady has 10 catches for 73 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore Charlie Becker started in place of Sarratt on Saturday as the Nashville Tennessee native had a career high 7 catches for 118 yards. Coming into the game Becker had 7 receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown against Kennesaw State in 5 games. Tight End Riley Nowakowski has 19 catches for 231 yards and a touchdown along with a one-yard rushing touchdown he scored against Kennesaw State. The 6-2 243-pound Senior from Milwaukee played 3 seasons for Wisconsin from 2020-24 and did not play in the 2021 or 2022 Season. While in Madison Nowakowski had 18 catches for 131 yards and a touchdown and 3 solo tackles along with a two-point conversion.
Wisconsin comes to Bloomington with a record of 3-6 and 1-5 in the Big Ten. The Badgers knocked off #23 Washington 13-10 in Madison last Saturday to snap a six-game losing streak. It’s been a tough year for the Badgers and Head Coach Luke Fickell. Wisconsin Athletic Director Chris McIntosh announced on November 6, that Fickell will return for the 2026 season as Head Coach. Fickell is 16-19 in his three years at Wisconsin and McIntosh says the move comes with a significant financial investment to the program to keep the Badgers competitive in the Big Ten. It’s been a revolving door at Quarterback for Wisconsin. Maryland Transfer Billy Edwards Jr. Played two games against Miami Ohio and Maryland before getting injured and will miss the rest of the season. Edwards Jr. completed 7 of his 16 passes for 113 yards. Indianapolis Native and Cathedral HS Graduate Danny O’Neil have completed 61 of his 90 passes for 635 yards along with 5 touchdown passes and has thrown 5 Interceptions. The 6-0 190-pound Sophomore injured his leg against Washington leaving Hunter Simmons as the signal caller for the Badgers.
Simmons has played the last five games completing 48 of his 95 passes for 485 yards along with 2 touchdowns and 5 Interceptions as combined the Quarterbacks have thrown for 1,265 yards 7 touchdown passes, 10 interceptions and have been sacked 19 times. Freshman Dillon Jones leads the Badgers running attack with 76 carries for 300 yards and touchdowns as Wisconsin has run the ball 321 times for 1,035 yards and 6 touchdowns. Vinny Anthony III leads the Wide with 26 catches for 291 yards and a touchdown. On defense Mason Regier has 3.5 sacks, Christian Alliegro has 44 tackles and 2 sacks while Preston Zachman has 2 Interceptions. Wisconsin has 20 sacks 5 Interceptions and 1 fumble recovery.
Indiana has won the last two meetings 20-14 at home in 2023 and 14-6 in Madison on December 5, 2020. Wisconsin owned a 10-game winning streak form 2005-17 including an 83-20 beat down of the Hoosiers in Madison on November 13, 2010. Wisconsin leads the all-time series 41-20-2 and Indiana is 10-17-1 all time in Bloomington against the Badgers. Indiana is on a collision course with Ohio State for the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis on December 6. The Hoosiers need to take care of business tomorrow and at Purdue the day after Thanksgiving and will do something that has only been done one other time and that is complete the regular season without a loss.
Bloomington South Hosts Floyd Central for the Class 5A Regional Football Championship The Bloomington South Panthers and the Floyd Central Highlanders will battle for the Class 5A Regional Football Championship tonight at 7 PM at Fred Huff Memorial Field on the Southside of Bloomington. The winner of this game will take on the winner of East Central and New Palestine for Semi State Championship next Friday Night. If Bloomington South wins, they will travel regardless of who wins the East Central-New Palestine game. If Floyd Central and East Central both win the Highlanders would host and if New Palestine were victorious Floyd Central would have to travel. Bloomington South beat Bloomington North 31-28 in a classic last Friday Night for the Panthers 5th consecutive sectional title and the 20th in Program History. Head Coach Gabe Johnson has won 5 sectionals in his six seasons on the Southside. The Panthers are 10-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents 445-201 this season. The only home loss for Bloomington South came in the final game of the Regular Season when they lost to Center Grove 33-12 at home. The Panthers have scored 31 or more points in all 10 wins this season with an offensive average of 40.5 points per game and a defensive average of 18.3 points per game.
Floyd Central will come to Bloomington with a 9-game winning streak after losing at Whiteland 48-28 in Week 2. The Highlanders beat Evansville North 15-10 at home last Friday to win their fourth sectional title in program history and their first since 2019. Floyd Central has outscored their opponents 475-169 with an offensive average of 43.2 points and allowing 15.2 points on defense per game. James Bragg is 53-30 in his 8th year at the school, and he led the Highlanders to the 2019 Sectional Championship as they look to win the Regional Title for the first time in program history. This will be the second time the two programs have faced off in the Regional Championship with Bloomington South winning the previous matchup at home 40-14 in 2019. The Panthers have won 13 Regional Titles including the last two years, but the Panthers are looking for more as they have lost to Decatur Central the last two years in the Semi State. Decatur Central has moved up to Class 6A, but the Challenge awaits with 9-2 East Central or 11-0 New Palestine and the Panthers lost to the Dragons in 2019 Semi State Championship Game 45-0 and the Panthers would love another shot at New Palestine but first things first they have to get by Floyd Central.
Prince-Alexander Moody Signs with Indiana University Men’s Basketball Four-star combo guard Prince-Alexander Moody has signed his letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Indiana University under head men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries, the program announced on Thursday.

Indiana University Men’s Soccer’s Palmer Ault Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year The NCAA leader in goals (16) and points (42), Indiana men’s soccer senior forward Palmer Ault earned the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award via a poll of the conference coaches. The conference office announced its postseason awards on Thursday (Nov. 13). In addition to Ault’s player of the year and unanimous first-team All-Big Ten honors, junior forward Collins Oduro featured in the All-Big Ten second team, forward Colton Swan in the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, and junior defender Alex Barger was IU’s Sportsmanship Award honoree. Indiana forwards have won five offensive players of the year awards as well as each of the last two; Ault follows up 2024 winner Tommy Mihalic, who also wore No. 10 during his time at Indiana.
Three IU forwards land in the 2025 postseason awards, representing Indiana’s attacking capacity. The Hoosiers rank No. 2 in the country in scoring with 46 goals this season, an average of 2.56 goals per game. Ault is the second Big Ten player in the 21st century to eclipse 15 goals and 10 assists in a single season, joining only fellow Hoosier Pat Noonan who recorded 16 goals and 12 assists in 2001. 2017 MAC Hermann Trophy winner Jon Bakero (16 goals, 14 assists) was the last NCAA Division I player to achieve the feat. As well as volume, Ault has also modeled versatility and consistency. Ault has scored with his right foot, left foot, inside of the foot, in the air and has assisted from open play as well as from three different kinds of set pieces: corner kick, free kick and throw-in. Over 18 matches, Ault has not played consecutive matches without producing a goal or assist. Indiana has a 10-1-1 record when Ault scores or assists.
After earning Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors in 2023, Oduro returned to the postseason awards during a season in which he’s produced career-highs in assists (6) and points (14) to go along with four goals. Swan landed in the Big Ten All-Freshman Team while recording three goals and three assists in his rookie season. Indiana’s No. 9 ended the regular season on a high, scoring a brace against Rutgers to earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors for the final cycle. A mainstay at left back since his 2023 freshman season, Barger has improved his attacking dimension as a junior, sporting career highs in goals (3) and points (8).
Indiana University Cross Country Travels to the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Evansville The Indiana men’s and women’s cross-country teams prepare for the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals. The Evansville Regional Sports Commission and the Missouri Valley Conference will host the meet in at the Angel Mounds Historic Site in Evansville, Ind., on Friday morning. Course: Silver Mounds Historic Site (Evansville, Ind.). Tickets & Parking: Parking is free of charge. There will be a $10 entrance fee for spectators. Women’s 6k starts at 11:00 a.m. Bloomington Time which is 10 am local time and the Men’s 10k starts at 12:00 p.m. Bloomington Time which is 11 AM Local Time.
Indiana will race against 34 teams in the Great Lakes region. The women are ranked 14th in the region and are set to compete against nationally ranked teams in No. 5 Notre Dame, No. 23 Michigan State and No. 25 Wisconsin at regionals. The men’s squad will face the top competitors in the region with five teams ranking in the top 30. The Hoosiers will see three Big Ten competitors in No. 13 Michigan State, No. 15 Wisconsin, and No. 26 Michigan. Indiana will also see in-state rivals in No. 14 Butler, who holds the top spot I the Big East rankings, and No. 16 Notre Dame. At the Big Ten Championships in East Lansing, Michigan Nolan Satterfield crossed the finish line first for the Hoosiers, recording a lifetime best mark of 24:20.6. Ava Jarrell earned a spot on the All-Freshman team with her finish in East Lansing, Mich. She set a personal best time of 21:02.5 to finish 45th overall.

#2 Purdue beats #8 Alabama in a Top 10 Men’s Basketball Clash in Tuscaloosa No. 2 Purdue took down No. 8 Alabama on the road, winning 87-80. It was Purdue’s first game of the season against a power conference opponent, and the Boilermakers got the win, improving to 3-0 on the season. It was a tightly contested game, with 21 lead changes and 14 ties. Alabama came back from down seven points late to tie the game at 80 with just less than two minutes left. Purdue bounced back though, scoring the final seven points of the game. Braden Smith made a layup in traffic to put Purdue ahead by two with 1:18 left, and the Boilermakers never looked back.
Smith led the Boilermakers with 29 points and tacked on seven rebounds and four assists. Trey Kaufman-Renn added 19 points and 15 rebounds in his season debut. He missed the first two games of the season with a hip injury. Kaufman-Renn was also active as a passer, dishing the ball down low to his fellow big man Daniel Jacobsen and picking up five assists on the night. This was Purdue’s first non-conference road win against a top 10 team since 1982. The Boilermakers are back in action on Sunday at home against Akron. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
