Ryan Hunter-Reay Joins Arrow McClaren for the 2026 Indianapolis 500 Arrow McLaren announced Thursday it has signed Ryan Hunter-Reay to drive a fourth entry during the 110th Indianapolis 500.  Hunter-Reay, the 2014 winner of the “500” and 2012 IndyCar Series champion, will drive the No. 31 Chevrolet alongside teammates Pato O’Ward, Christian Lundgaard and Nolen Seigel.  “This is an incredible opportunity in so many ways,” Hunter-Reay said. “I’d like to express my gratitude to Zak, Tony and the rest of the Arrow McLaren management team for pursuing this partnership and making it a reality.”

The No. 31 is significant in that it was the number Hunter-Reay ran when he made his first start in Champ Car back in 2003. Over the course of his career, he has scored 18 wins – including the 2014 Indianapolis 500 – and 47 podiums. “He’s an Indy 500 champion – and if you look at our history at McLaren – that’s the reason we field a fourth car, to have one more contender in the mix,” team principal Tony Kanaan said. “He is a proven winner, and we know he will have a strong chance to win this historic event. Ryan is one of the best teammates I’ve ever had, and we’re very excited to get started with him and have him part of our team into next May.” Hunter-Reay was in contention to win his second Borg-Warner Trophy in 2025, having led 48 laps, until an issue on pit road during his final pit stop derailed his race.  “After coming so agonizingly close to a shot at the win in last year’s 500, I am beyond primed and ready to make the absolute most of this partnership,” Hunter-Reay said.  The 110th Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Phoenix Suns beat the Indiana Pacers 133-98 Devin Booker scored 33 points, Dillon Brooks added 32 and the Phoenix Suns won their fifth straight game by beating the Indiana Pacers 133-98 on Thursday night. The Suns led by 20 early in the third quarter, but the Pacers cut it to 83-73 a few minutes later. Phoenix responded with a 16-0 run — highlighted by 10 straight points from Booker — to take a 106-84 lead into the fourth. Booker shot 12 of 22 from the field and added seven assists and five rebounds. Brooks made 12 of 18. The Suns were shooting well above 60% from the field deep into the fourth quarter. Oso Ighodaro had 17 points, seven rebounds and three blocks off the bench.

The Pacers were last season’s Eastern Conference champions but have been ravaged by injuries. They’ve lost six in a row and fell to 1-11 for the season. Andrew Nembhard had 21 points while Pascal Siakam added 19. Indiana gave up 133 points two nights after surrendering 152 in a loss to Utah — the most given up in the NBA this season. The Suns stretched their lead to 70-52 by halftime. Brooks scored 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting before the break. Nembhard led the Pacers with 16 points. Both teams dealt with injuries during the game. Suns guard Grayson Allen left the game in the second quarter with a right quadriceps injury. He had 12 points before the injury and scored a career-high 42 points in a win over the Pelicans on Monday. Pacers guard Aaron Nesmith was hurt in the third quarter after slipping and falling awkwardly to the floor. The team said it was left knee soreness.

Devlin, a senior from Belfast, Northern Ireland, closed out his career in Purple & Gray by earning his third consecutive all-league honor. In 14 appearances this season, Devlin finished third on the team in points with eight and led the team in shots on goal with 13. He ended up tied-for-third in both goals (3) and assists (2). After easing back into the lineup following offseason surgery, Devlin made an immediate impact with at least one point in his first four appearances in the starting lineup. He recorded goals in back-to-back wins over IU East and Lourdes, including the game-winning goal to lead the Trojans to a come-from-behind victory over Lourdes. He also played a major role in helping lead the Trojans to three draws against ranked opponents. Over his three-year career as a Trojan, Devlin made 48 appearances with 29 combined points on 10 goals and nine assists.

Adeyemi, a sophomore from Abuja, Nigeria, earned his first career all-league honor following his first campaign as a Trojan. Adeyemi led the team in points (13), where he ranked tied for 13th among CL leaders, and led TU in goals (5) and assists (3 – tied). He finished tied for 12th in the league for most goals and tied for 18th in assists despite only appearing in 14 contests. Adeyemi’s presence was felt immediately with two goals in the first three matches of the season, including a successful strike against RV Madonna. He also scored TU’s equalizer in a 1-1 draw with No. 7 Bethel in his debut against CL competition. Adeyemi registered a career-high three points in two separate contests, with a goal and an assist against Oakland City and IU Columbus. He also provided an assist in TU’s draw with No. 20 Grace in the season finale.

Mapessa, a sophomore from Brussels, Belgium, picked up his first career all-league honor as a Trojan after earning All-American honors his freshman campaign at Arizona Western College. In 16 starts this fall, Mapessa was a steady presence for the TU back line and took advantage of his attacking opportunities to finish third on the team in goals with three. His first goal as a Trojan came on the game-winning strike in TU’s road victory at IU Northwest. He added two more goals in road contests against Aquinas and Saint Francis.

Saint Francis’ Mamba Chisoni was named the CL Coach of the Year, with Bethel’s Julian Vargas Talamantes being named the Crossroads League Player of the Year. The Crossroads League’s remaining top honors included Gustavo Nunes of Marian being selected as the CL Offensive Player of the Year, Cole Little of Indiana Wesleyan being tabbed the CL Defensive Player of the Year and Luis Munoz of Grace being named the CL Midfielder of the Year, as well as the CL Newcomer of the Year. The All-Crossroads League awards are voted on by the CL’s head men’s soccer coaches.
