Indiana University Women’s Basketball Lands a Second Transfer from Iowa State Iowa State transfer Kenzie Hare has committed to Indiana women’s basketball, she announced on social media Sunday night. Hare will be a redshirt senior next year, spending her final season of eligibility with the Hoosiers. The Bartlett, Ill. native spent two years with the Cyclones, after playing her first two college seasons at Marquette. Hare averaged six points and 2.5 rebounds per game this past season, while shooting 40.5 percent from 3-point range.
The 5-foot-9 guard played in ISU’s first 10 games of the season, before opting to medically redshirt the rest of the season because of a pre-existing hip injury. Hare’s best collegiate season was her sophomore year at Marquette in 2023-24. She led the Big East that year by shooting 42.5 percent on 3-pointers, and she averaged 14 points, 2.4 assists, and 2.1 rebounds per game. The guard has a clear existing relationship with Lenée Beaumont. They grew up around 30 minutes away from each other, and they were AAU teammates at M14 Hoops. Hare is the third transfer portal addition for Teri Moren’s program this offseason. She’s the second Iowa State player to join the Hoosiers, along with forward Alisa Williams.

Indiana University Baseball Wins Series Finale over Abilene Christian There’s been no hotter hitter in the Indiana lineup than sophomore outfielder Caleb Koskie over the last month. After missing some opportunities earlier in the game, Koskie redeemed himself with an RBI single through the left side to score freshman second baseman Landen Fry. The hit served as the winning run in a 5-4 victory for the Hoosiers (18-22, 6-12 B1G) on Sunday at Bart Kaufman Field. Koskie extended his hitting streak to 21-straight games with a single in the first inning. It’s the joint longest streak by any IU player in a single season since 2005 (Alex Dickerson – 2010, Chris Hervey – 2008).
Koskie’s average has worked up to .387 as he continues to see the ball at a very high level. The win was IU’s first one-run victory of the season. Junior right-handed pitcher Jackson Yarberry provided his best outing as a Hoosier in quick relief on Sunday afternoon. Graduate student southpaw Conner Linn faced the first three lefties in the order before making way to the bullpen. Yarberry recorded a career high eight strikeouts in five scoreless frames. Graduate student right-handed pitcher Gavin Seebold (W, 2-3) got the win while veteran right-hander Reagan Rivera (SV, 2) closed it down. IU’s win handed it a third-consecutive series victory at home this season. The Hoosiers will have a chance to finish off the month of April with a big home series against Iowa next weekend. Up first is a midweek trip to Ball State to close out the season series with the Cardinals. First pitch This afternoon is set for 3 p.m.
Indiana University Softball Drops Series Finale at Iowa Indiana and Iowa had a low-scoring battle on Sunday afternoon as Iowa won game three of the series, 4-2, at Bob Pearl Field. With the loss, Indiana is 34-12 on the season and 12-6 in conference play. Iowa used two doubles and two singles to put up three runs in the bottom of the first to take a 3-0 lead after one frame. The second and third innings were defined by defense as both teams put up a combined two hits and no runs. In the top of the fourth, Avery Parker crushed a ball over the center field wall to break the program’s career home run record with 46 homers and put the Hoosiers on the board, making the score 3-1. In the bottom of the fifth, Mariah Myers singled to right field to bring home Tory Bennett and extend Iowa’s lead to 4-1. The Hoosiers got two runners on in the top of the sixth but could not bring them home. Brooke Mannon went yard in the top of the seventh to cut the score down to 4-2.
Parker’s home run was the 46th of her career and made her the program’s new home run leader. She broke Taylor Minnick’s record of 45 which she set in the NCAA Fayetteville Regional in May 2025. In five appearances in the circle this week, Aubree Hooks has only allowed five runs. Mannon’s home run today was her first as a Hoosier. The Hoosiers have won five of its six Big Ten series thus far in 2026. Indiana will next face Valparaiso on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. first pitch at Andy Mohr Field.

Indy Ignite Dominates the Dallas Pulse at Sold Out Fishers Event Center The top teams in Major League Volleyball squared off Sunday Night in a much-anticipated encounter at a sold-out Fishers Event Center, but it wasn’t much of a battle. The first-place Indy Ignite handled the second-place Dallas Pulse in four sets, sweeping their season series and lowering their magic number to clinch the No. 1 playoff seed to two. Indy upped its record to 19-5 while Dallas fell to 18-7 (with four of those losses to Indy). Any combination of Ignite wins and/or Pulse losses totaling two in the remaining two weeks of the regular season secures Indy the top seed in the four-team MLV Championship scheduled for May 7-9 on Dallas’ home court.
Indy steamrolled Dallas in the first two sets by scores of 25-17 and 25-18, sending the home crowd of more than 6,500 into a frenzy. Led by opposite hitter Azhani Tealer’s 10 kills, eight from outside hitter Leketor Member-Meneh and six by outside hitter Anna DeBeer, Indy hit at a 47.8 percent kill rate with 31.0 percent efficiency in the opening two frames. Meanwhile, the outstanding Ignite defense limited hard-hitting Dallas to an 18.8 percent kill percentage with a meager 1.6 percent efficiency. The Pulse rebounded to win the third set 25-22 and then jumped ahead 5-0 in set four. That’s when the Ignite put the hammer down once more, going on a 10-1 spree to take control. They eventually won the set 25-21 on Tealer’s game-high 19th kill for the 3-1 match victory.
“They’re a very, very good team,” Indy head coach Lauren Bertolacci said of Dallas. “I am shocked that we’ve swept them in the season. They played really well in the third and the fourth set, and it took us to have to adjust and get into another gear. They switched their lineups around a little bit, so at the end of the day, I was very, very happy with what we tactically executed today.” Tealer, the reigning MLV Player of the Week, led the Ignite in scoring for the fourth straight match, combining for 19 kills and a block to reach 20 points (also for the fourth consecutive match) and blasting away for a hitting percentage of 61.3 percent with 45.2 percent efficiency. Middle blocker Lydia Martyn started for the first time in seven matches as she worked back from a foot injury and responded with 10 kills, five blocks and a service ace. Member-Meneh finished with 13 kills and two blocks.
Setter Mia Tuaniga passed around 55 sets – one off her season best in a four-setter – and padded her stat sheet with nine digs, four kills and two aces. She once again enjoyed distributing the scoring wealth to an array of teammates. “Every hitter is available and I just have full trust in everyone,” Member-Meneh’s 16 digs led four Ignite players in double digits, as Tealer, DeBeer and libero Elena Scott recorded 11 apiece. Bertolacci was equally as pleased with her team’s defensive effort as with the offense. The Ignite limited Dallas’ Mimi Colyer and Sofia Maldonado Diaz, who rank 1-2 in MLV in kills and points, to a combined 23 kills, 27.7 percent kill percentage and 8.4 percent efficiency. As a team, Dallas hit at just 29.1 percent and was 13.4 percent efficient.
“We did what we needed to do and we kept Mimi and Sofia down under .200 (efficiency), and that’s always going to put us in a good position to win,” Bertolacci said. “We did a lot of work to make sure that would happen. We did a really good job in defense tonight, and that was very important. Shout out to Elena, who had a phenomenal match, honestly.” That, Tealer added, was all according to plan … game plan, that is. “Our staff works very hard to come up with game plans and put us in positions to defend outside hitters and a team like that,” Tealer said. “When they come up with game plans like that and we trust it and we execute it, it’s going to turn out really well.”
The Ignite make their final road trips of the regular season in the coming week, heading Thursday to Orlando (7 p.m. ET on Roku Channel) and Sunday to Atlanta (3 p.m., CBS Sports Network). They close with a pair of home matches, against Columbus on May 1 and San Diego on May 3. For ticket information, visit IndyIgniteVB.com. Tickets for the 2026 MLV Championship, set for Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas, are on sale via the MLV Ticketmaster website. Indy Eleven and Brimingham Legion Settle for a 2-2 Draw Indy Eleven rallied with two second-half goals to extend its unbeaten streak to five (2-0-3) with a 2-2 road draw at Birmingham Legion FC. The five-match unbeaten run is the longest for the Boys in Blue since late in the 2024 campaign. Two Indy Eleven substitutes ignited the comeback in the 68th minute. Forward Bruno Rendon ran down a ball in the corner to start the sequence, playing it back to defender Makel Rasheed, who served it into the box, where forward Edward Kizza volleyed it sharply into the top right corner to tie the match at 1-1. It is Kizza’s 21st career goal in USL Championship play and it is the first Boys in Blue and USL-C assist for Rasheed, who played three seasons collegiately at UIndy. Rasheed tied for team-high honors with two chances created along with captain Aodhan Quinn.
Goalkeeper Eric Dick made three saves, including a diving stop with his left hand in the 78th minute on a shot from inside the area by Gevork Diarbian to keep the match level. In the 81st minute, Quinn started the sequence that gave Indy Eleven the lead with a perfect throw-in down the left sideline to sub Logan Neidlinger, who waited patiently to play a cross from inside the area that midfielder Josh O’Brien volleyed home with his right foot fully extended to give his team a 2-1 lead. It is the 23-year-old O’Brien’s second goal in USL-C play for the Boys in Blue–he scored vs. Birmingham in the USL Cup last season. The assist is the first of the season and the second of his career for the 20-year-old Neidlinger, who tied for the team best with two tackles won. The draw is the first one in the 16 meetings between the Boys in Blue and Birmingham.
