Indiana University Women’s Basketball Lands Canadian Camille Pangonis for the Class of 2027 Indiana University Women’s Basketball has landed its second commitment for the Class of 2027 as 5-11 Canadian Wing Camille Pangonis announced her commitment to the Hoosiers on her Instagram Page. Pangonis attends Fort Erie International Academy which is a private boarding school in Ontario, Canada. She has been described by North Pole Hoops as a do-it-all forward who rebounds, defends, and makes winning plays. She joins Finley Parker as the second member of the 2027 Class. Parker is 6-3 from Woodstock, Georgia and committed to the Hoosiers on April 2.
Camille combines length, timing, and athleticism to secure rebounds consistently. She is particularly effective in contesting high-trajectory shots and leveraging her positioning to dominate boards. Camille’s rebounding fuels transition opportunities, maintains offensive rhythm, and energizes her team defensively. Camille is a floor general whose vision and decision-making elevate her team’s offense. She consistently reads defensive schemes and delivers precise passes to open teammates, whether in transition or half-court sets. Her ability to anticipate movement, exploit gaps, and time passes perfectly makes her the engine of her team’s offense. Camille’s passing not only creates scoring opportunities but also forces defenses to extend coverage, indirectly opening space for shooters and cutters.
Eight Indiana University Football Players named 2026 preseason All-Americans by Phil Steele Eight IU players were named to well-known college football analyst Phil Steele’s annual preseason All-American teams. This is double the amount IU had ahead of the 2025 national championship campaign. Indiana was tied with Oregon for the Big Ten team with the most players on Steele’s four teams, while Ohio State had six. The IU All-Americans include seven returning players from the 2025 team, and one transfer. Here are the eight Hoosiers receiving preseason All-American recognition from Steele: FIRST TEAM OFFENSE-Carter Smith, OT SECOND TEAM OFFENSE-Nick Marsh, WR THIRD TEAM OFFENSE-Charlie Becker, WR FIRST TEAM DEFENSE-Isaiah Jones, LB SECOND TEAM DEFENSE-Rolijah Hardy, LB and Tyrique Tucker, DT THIRD TEAM DEFENSE-Amare Ferrell, S FOURTH TEAM DEFENSE-Jamari Sharpe, CB Indiana opens the 2026 season on Sept. 5 against North Texas at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
ESPN ranks Indiana University Basketball’s 2026 transfer class No. 6 Forced to rebuild his roster via the transfer portal for a second year in a row, IU basketball coach Darian DeVries has assembled one of the nation’s best incoming transfer groups in 2026. With seven new players coming to IU via the transfer portal including six from the high-major ranks, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello says IU amassed the No. 6 portal haul this offseason. While the transfer class is national top-10, Indiana is ranked in the No. 20 to 30 range in most early outlooks for the 2026-27 season. That’s because the Hoosiers returned just one player from last year’s team, sophomore forward Trent Sisley. IU also has three 4-star freshman who arrived on campus this month, but they’ll like need time to develop into major contributors.
Indiana has leaned heavily into the transfer portal each of the last two years, but the hope is they won’t be so dependent a year from now. The Hoosiers have 11 of 12 scholarship players eligible to return in 2027-28, and if 5-year eligibility is passed by the NCAA, several players would gain an extra year of eligibility in 2028-29 as well.
Here’s how ESPN described Indiana’s No. 6 ranked transfer haul: Markus Burton (18.5 PPG at Notre Dame)
Bryce Lindsay (12.3 PPG at Villanova)
Aiden Sherrell (11.1 PPG at Alabama)
Samet Yigitoglu (10.7 PPG at SMU)
Jaeden Mustaf (10.4 PPG at Georgia Tech)
Justin Monden (6.0 PPG at Maryland Eastern Shore)
Darren Harris (3.3 PPG at Duke)
After taking over a program with zero returning players last spring, it’s another total rebuild for Darian DeVries, who welcomes back one player from last season. The Hoosiers welcome in three top-30 transfers: Burton, Sherrell and Yigitoglu. Burton is an outstanding playmaker and scorer when healthy (he’s been injured much of the last two seasons), and Sherrell and Yigitoglu were two of the most sought-after bigs in the portal. Lindsay, Mustaf and Harris will compete for minutes on the wings — Lindsay and Harris can really shoot it while Mustaf brings more toughness and physicality.
ESPN ranked Indiana’s transfer class behind only Tennessee, Louisville, Texas, Kentucky and St. John’s, No.’s 1 through 5, respectively. The only other Big Ten team in the top-13 was No. 10 Michigan, with just three incoming players via the portal. Borzello acknowledges portal class size influences the rankings, with bigger incoming groups gravitating towards the top. How well does ESPN rank transfer classes? Or perhaps a better question — how much does this matter? Last year the network had IU’s 10-player haul at No. 7, and that was only good enough for an 18-14 season and the second team out of the NCAA Tournament. Perhaps a slightly better incoming group, at least relatively speaking, and a slightly bigger NCAA Tournament, will do the trick this time around.
Indiana Fever beat the Chicago Sky in Overtime The Indiana Fever picked up their second straight win on Thursday night inside Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Fever beat the Chicago Sky 114-106 in overtime. The 114 points are a new franchise record for most points scored in a single game. The previous high was 110 points in a game against Dallas in Sept. 2024. The victory came just days after the Fever won another thriller, when they beat the Mystics.
On Thursday night against the Sky, two Fever players, guard Caitlin Clark and center Aliyah Boston, each scored over 30 points. Boston scored a game-high 34 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. The 34 points were a career-high for Boston. Her previous career-high came in June 2025, when she scored 31 points in a game against Dallas. “I think it was just my mindset of just trying to attack,” Boston said. “They have pretty long bigs, so for me, just trying to find different ways to score at the basket.” Meanwhile, Clark finished with 32 points and dished out a game-high 10 assists. As a result, Boston and Clark became the first teammates in WNBA history to record 30-point double-doubles in the same game.
“I don’t know if I can really put it in perspective in terms of quantifying it, and especially because they’re so young,” Fever head coach Stephanie White said after the game. “They’re so young. But, they’re elite at what they do. And the more experience that they get at this level and the different ways that people play us, like they’ve already grown.” It was Boston’s 44th career double-double and Clark’s 22nd career double-double. Some of Clark’s assists were passes to Boston on Thursday. “I feel like I always know where Aliyah is,” Clark said. “I think we’ve got a little telepathy now.” The Fever have a quick turnaround following Thursday’s win. They face the Connecticut Sun Tonight at 6 p.m. inside Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
